I am comparing my laptimes when running the layout in its standard orientation compared to the reverse orientation. I was pleasantly surprised with a better time doing the reverse orientation despite it being my first time.

I realized it's mainly mental, the bike and tires are capable of so much more. You just have to build the confidence to push, and trust the tires! What's SOAR race pace for the Technical layout BTW?

@motosurgeofficial so last round of SOAR. For technical layout, for rookie class is 1.09-1.17s. To be in the top 10 of amateurs you need at least mid 1.09s. Pros are running around 1.04-1.08.. I'm around 1.07s right now.. but hoping to close that this year to at least 1.06. These times are on a 600cc bike.

Does that mean it takes you 1:07 seconds to go around the track? And does that stay the same for the entire race?

Absolutely, while having a laptimer on the bike is my preferred way. You can always superimpose a timer/or just use a stopwatch with your camera footage to get an idea of what your laptimes are.

Appreciate it man. I still have so much to work on but I was pleasantly surprised when I went back to watch my laps and realized I was keeping a decently consistent laptime!

Hi, yup you can use the video as long as I get full credit. Two riders crashed in the video, the second rider fractured their ankle (allegedly) so were not able to move. Also the marshal did not do a good job of ensuring a safe stop procedure. They used the wrong flag as well.

Good eye. While it's on a much slower bike compared to my usual one, this is my first ride of the season which is usually slow and rusty as hell!

Probably, but they should have made sure to have these flags available to all marshals. The red flag is the most important flag and you can't just rely on sign language. Luckily things weren't worse.
