Epic Paint failure! First time for everything.

2010 Chevy avalanche, previous bodywork and paint, that I took onto repair Rust and blend the paint, well lessons learned here today. Double duty now. If you ever have a car come in that Ben had worked on it before even after I sealed it it’s still lifted because of the reducer reaction to the underlying improper repairs. All my work was good and no issues where I repaired. Noted to self, clear...
1979 Ford Ranchero gets a refresh.

This here 1979 Ranchero had a little bit of rust lol ok A LOT of RUST in it. Some panels were rusted through and missing. Replaced those panels and blend. Did the paint as well as you could with not knowing the paint color looks good. GT decal lines were GONE. Had to recreate those lines and blend into the existing. Gotta love gearhead!
Amen to that!
Be at peace
Built Ford Tou......😂😅😅😅😅 i almost said it. Almost.
😂
Solid work.💪
Thank you 🙌
Thank you
Wow, great job! How many hours of body work? good going
I believe it was 200 hours body fit, metal work and finishing.
Why take it off anyway?
True but this was a full restoration and wanted a clean look
How high are you? 😂
I was making fun of a few character voices
Nice work!
Absolutely. I tried a lot of methods before finding the right one. 😂 i found a 4800 psi pressure washer will take off anything loose. Thanx for the sub I subbed ya back. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you!

The yellow ones are my favorite
Yall jersey offs don't deserve help. You bought into something stupid, deal with it.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 We knew back in the early 1900s when they tried electrical vehicles that would never work that's why they decided not to do it the only vehicles that work properly are diesel electric y'all go ahead and you keep your funny ass electronic cars and raise your electric bills and screw the infrastructure up that can't even handle it with the grid all I can say is we told you so 😂😂😂😂 I'll stick with my diesel and gas vehicles till the day that I die or we can have Civil War over it I'm good either way 😂😂😂 because I love the Constitution as well as my gas and diesel vehicles dogs guns trucks cars. Everything else is just a waste of money 😂😂😂😂
It's green and everything is frozen🎉❤🎉
Nice
I had a 78 very color it was a mess when I got it!!!!!
That brown was very common
That's a great job!
It’s a budget deal. Definitely can appreciate these painters
1947 was the first year. Reading is fundamental. 1949 was the hood badge flip to “4 Wheel Drive”
Can't hear you over the compressor
It was 10 feet from me and didn’t realize that until later. That’s why it’s for reading the text came in. Same thing I was saying
Making it sound like I’m busy doing something haha

I have the same truck! I’d love to have some help with it! Where are you located?
It’s been completed and SOLD a year ago.
I’m in Michigan
Would you have room/time to restore another 78 Bronco?
@@jasonclinton3476 at this time no. I have 4 cars as of now to restore. Would be fun though.
Where are you located?
Well done!
Hey thank you. It was without a doubt a very long build. Original rebuilt motor stroked to a 408 with Original rebuilt HD C7 transmission. It is a beast.
Hi good morning a have a question for you how much do u spend on your ford bronco😊
þrðmð§m
Could you explain more of the Cleveland/ Michigan cracking problem please?
The water jacket walls when cast in the water jacket area were thinner. There is a full history on the web. Foundry casting codes and date codes are significant for M-block engine blocks because some blocks that were cast before March 2, 1977 at the Michigan Casting Center are prone to water jacket cracking in the lifter valley area. Blocks cast at the Michigan Casting Center after that date do not have the cracking problem. To avoid the water jacket cracking problem, watch out for engine blocks with the Michigan Casting Center foundry mark and a date code of 7C02 or earlier.
Convoy 😅😂🤣
I remember that movie
Dude sold it with extra goodies?
Haven’t sold it yet. Has a race upgrade suspension with frame railed tied for more HP, and came with 383. All metal work was cleanly done
If you're still feeling generous I have a 59 Chevy Apache NAPCO, I need help rebuilding the front end and steering linkage. Both identifying the parts and purchasing them.
If I didn’t have my hands full right now. Absolutely beautiful truck to take on. Parts are hard to come by on those, but assured if complete truck, it’s not an impossible task. Looking at a full year for that one because of it’s antique necessities. Dig it and would love to see pictures!
Have a 1949 Jeep Willys truck and a 1973 Dodge Challenger to due this winter
Good job. I'm putting new quarter panels on mine now and have not been able to find replacement clips for the roof that go in the rails. Were you able to find any?
Those clips are oversized body clips like fender clips. Bronco Graveyard or one of the Ford restoration sites should have them. If not look at an automotive store, maybe even Fastenal.

Only used 110v at 20 amp. This will cut rod that’s 3/8 on that voltage. Use a guide for clean cuts. Can’t wait to test out the 220-240v setting
How can you dislike a man honest work and another man dream you buttheads
Yes sir. A true blessing and beautiful vehicle. Thank you brother.
Very nice bronco I like the color of it, I’ve got a 1970 bronco
Look up Sgt Rock
I made one little color change that was it based off of Stacy‘s Gearz Sgt Rock
@@VintRestGarage oh cool I like the color on that one
Amazing job, you wouldn’t happen to have any diagrams or dimensions for the subframe/body brace pieces at 0:44 would you?
I accidentally may have thrown that template out. If you still need the measurements and angles let me know and I’ll take pictures and create it for you then maybe send the template in the mail.
What paint u used in the chassy ?
Zero rust was the product. However, i used chassis saver on my Jeep frame and like the build up and sealing quality of it better. Either way, prior to paint always use a rust stop of some sort.
Looks great i had two 79s. Tough ass trucks
Yeah they were and no one understands that. It was a farm rig and could pull hard. That 351M was a workhorse. Now this has it’s original drive train but beefed up to 408 with Mild torque cam, 2400 stall heavy duty C6.
Very inspiring to watch man ❤️Well done looks beautiful 😻!!! All the best from South Australia 🇦🇺
I appreciate your comment Leandro. It was definitely a test of will and skill.
Nice. Good thing you have a big shop.
What’s the make and model of your wheels, I want some for my 82 Bronco
Get back to ya. But I believe Bullet American Racing
AR62 Outlaw II but Ford actually had an OEM Like these. Usually find them on FB Market
Thank you for the wheel info, your Bronco is Bad A! 👍🏼
That a beautiful color!
Thanks. It has a green pearl tint but changes to a shimmering gun metal in different light, kind of like an F22 or F35
Great work! My son found a 1986 Bronco XLT with a 351W just seating outside for 10 years and got it for $100... Despite the harsh conditions she survived with minimal rust and this is the kind of work we want to do on the XLT.. Thank you for posting!
Sorry for the late reply. It will be all worth it in the end regardless of current values which have taken off.
Sold it to a good man. Got exactly what I wanted from this build. It was a labor of love. Just shipped it off today
@@VintRestGarage Lucky guy; it was a very nice restoration ; we'll still continue buying spare parts for my son's XLT ;these crazy gas prices will not last forever no matter what Brandon does... Noticed you also changed its wheels. Ours have the chrome partially gone;I wonder if it worth have them cleaned then silver powder coat them or buy new wheels...
@@solarflare4259 I have new shocks but not for dual, stagger same size.
@@solarflare4259 spare tire carrier, vent glass and frames, like new manifolds and gaskets for 351M, the tire carrier tailgate brace, working rear window motor, 90 Model front seats some new stainless brake lines
I like when people give you a thumbs down and they don’t tell you why haters
Nice job bruh, I found same one for $2,500 in worse condition. Ie rust. Good thing I'm a welder. Hopefully get it next month
I originally paid $1,700 running driving. So you did just fine on price. Been seeing junk at $4,000 avg now.
Hell Ya , Value ADDED Nice job
It has been challenging and, not a show truck but we love it. This Bronco has been completely disassembled for restoration. I think it’s worth the $24,500
Man you are thorough. Good to see someone taking pride in their work. Keep it up, can’t wait to see it finished.
Awesome looking vehicle. When you can please send me those pictures/videos of it. Very interested in it.
Sorry been real busy. Will do
@@VintRestGarage no problem, I understand. I am sure your getting a lot of interest in the vehicle. I just want to try and stay ahead of the competition, lol.
Thats my year, faaak im interested
Yes please
Thanks Todd. Hope we get asking price of $22-24,500. Complete driver restoration with all newly rebuilt original driver train. 351 modified to 408 More HP now with C6 HD.
