1973 Dodge Challenger Door Glass Installation
1973 Dodge Challenger Window Installation
Described as clearly as possible
1. All internal components and window felt or seals are removed
2. Ensure lower window rubber bumper is installed so the glass can rest on it
3. Install window regulator (4 bolts)
4. Install window glass and rest on lower door bumper stop until next step
5. Raise glass to top (may need help) or attached the regulator channel to glass (don’t forget the rear bolt washer (Rubber, plastic, or teflon) also there are hose like center washers about 3/16” in length and width that insert into the glass where the rear regulator channel meets the channel bracket this is Very important! Next grab top portion of glass and use regulator to raise glass to the top of this is your choice.
6. Insert front support guide and align rollers or plastic guides into the support guide then attach the two lower bolts only
7. Insert rear guide and slide into glass guide (U shaped section attached to glass) attach lower bolt to secure the rear guide.
8. Lower glass until glass holes line up with top support guide bolt holes, insert bolts.
9. Insert and attach the regulator equalizer or the balance brace channel and attach and slide into the rear regulator roller. Attach bolts
10. Adjust as necessary temporarily until quarter glass alignment is with the door glass.
11. Lube channels and regulator with tacky grease or preferably Lithium Grease
*Keep bolts snug but loose enough to allow smooth movement then tighten as necessary

Epic Paint failure! First time for everything.
มุมมอง 375 หลายเดือนก่อน
2010 Chevy avalanche, previous bodywork and paint, that I took onto repair Rust and blend the paint, well lessons learned here today. Double duty now. If you ever have a car come in that Ben had worked on it before even after I sealed it it’s still lifted because of the reducer reaction to the underlying improper repairs. All my work was good and no issues where I repaired. Noted to self, clear...
1979 Ford Ranchero gets a refresh.

This here 1979 Ranchero had a little bit of rust lol ok A LOT of RUST in it. Some panels were rusted through and missing. Replaced those panels and blend. Did the paint as well as you could with not knowing the paint color looks good. GT decal lines were GONE. Had to recreate those lines and blend into the existing. Could you explain more of the Cleveland/ Michigan cracking problem please?

    • @VintRestGarage
      @VintRestGarage ปีที่แล้ว

The water jacket walls when cast in the water jacket area were thinner. There is a full history on the web. Foundry casting codes and date codes are significant for M-block engine blocks because some blocks that were cast before March 2, 1977 at the Michigan Casting Center are prone to water jacket cracking in the lifter valley area. Blocks cast at the Michigan Casting Center after that date do not have the cracking problem. To avoid the water jacket cracking problem, watch out for engine blocks with the Michigan Casting Center foundry mark and a date code of 7C02 or earlier.

    • @VintRestGarage

Those clips are oversized body clips like fender clips. Bronco Graveyard or one of the Ford restoration sites should have them. If not look at an automotive store, maybe even Fastenal.
