Wow!!
Insane detection.
good video
Excellent!!

🌏🌺 Thanks for posting
Great catch.
🌏🌺
Good video
3 eqs in quick succession reported? 6.6 / 6.9 / 6.1 ?
There was multiple strong quakes at once in under 5 Minutes, So its probably why it originally had a confusing revision sequence 😂
@@Sammzz2011 ok, thanks! 👍🏼
🌱🌏💚
Oh!! That sound, at 1:00!! Thank you.
🌏 Wellington City arose from being a centrally located harbour. Nothing was known then of fault lines or the occurrence of earthquakes. Colonialists came from places that didn't have earthquakes. Thank you for reporting Sammzz.
🌱🌏💚 ,
Te Kaha
🌱🌏💚 5kms depth at Te Puia O Whakaari/White Island. Alert level 2, increased eruptive activity.......Is the volcano going to live up to its name & do something dramatic? 👀
A bit of a shake up to wake up! Too early on a Sunday morning for running outside with my PJ'S on lol. Count it as a practice, a bigger one can (& does) happen any time.
😱
I'd love to go to the Kermadec Islands. This location produces some big eqs! And eruptions! Seamounts are fascinating.
🌱🌏💚,
Toward the end of this, where the only flashing sensor is in the Cook Strait, do you know if it's on the sea floor? or on a buoy? Maybe a dumb question. Just curious.
All Stations Are Either onland - Or on islands 😄
How interesting. Many thanks. So there was a secondary event (from 2:50)?
No The Rest of the Events Are Just Ghost Quakes / Not Real Events, As the Waves Didnt Properly Sync with the Real Depth 😂
Sometimes feel the tremor strongly here on the East Coast after m6 & upwards eqs in the Kermadecs. It's the same event but travels thousands of kilometers. Have watched a Kermadec eq notification & then felt the equivalent of aprox m5+ here, within minutes. It's annoying because the eqs that subsequently occur here aren't verified, as the epicenter is actually thousands of kilometers away.
rough day 🙏
🌱🌏💚
It always intrigues me that the seismic stations flash for so long when the quake might have been felt for only a second or two (?).
Its due to the Value its reached, Once its fully stopped. Thats when it usually Stops Flashing for most 😄
🌱🌏💚 KiaOra. Kermadec Arc and Tonga Trench regularly bust out m6+s. Grateful that the majority of them go unnoticed.
Tonga is an hour ahead of you. Is that Tonga time or Aotearoa (New Zealand) time NZST? I'm being a pest. Thanks for tweaking things, nice.
All Times on My Videos Will Always be NZ's Standard or Daylight Time :)
...and Whakaari at Level 3...ty for your diligence, Sammzz of NNZZ.
🌱🌏💚 Two M4+s overnight. Going to go have a look where the epicentres are pinpointed. Thank you for reporting.
🌱🌏💚 KiaOra. Good morning from Hawkes Bay Sammzz. Thank you for posting.
🌱🌏💚 Couple of m4+'s......eq magnitude can stop there now thank you very much, 5' s & over start to get hairy...……
Maybe add the date and time in the title...
Can't Make the Title Too Long, But i'll find a way! :)

Nice one sam
🌏🙋🏻♀️ KiaOra!
🌱🌏💚 KiaOra. Good morning from Hawkes Bay. I really like your eq graphics, showing the activity on all the sensors. For one, It gives a more accurate picture of the Kapiti/Hikurangi slow slip activity. I think this format is actually way better than the one GeoNet uses.
🌱🌏💚,
🌱🌏💚 Fairly decent size eq. Thank you for reporting.
hey. your that sammzz guy on the gq server

🌱🌏💚 KiaOra from Hawkes Bay. Thank you for NZ specific earthquake reporting. I really like the NZ map screen format. Do you also cover Kermadecs/Tonga?
Yeah it Does Cover the Kermadecs, However They usually have to be pretty Big quakes to be detected correctly! 😄
@@Sammzz2011 The monitoring for Kermadecs isn't too bad considering the distance. That area busts out some big eqs + eruptions. The big ones are the ones we need to keep an eye on here, (tsunami etc) I'm satisfied with getting notified for M6 & above lol. Also, I've noticed after the big eqs in the Kermadecs in the last 5 years, they've been felt here, 2000kms away, shortly after. Someone needs to trim the foliage on the GeoNet Rauol Island cam though, can't see anything but 🌿😅
If they want a volunteer to do it - I'LL GO! 😂 I'd love to visit Rauol Island! 🤩
🌱🌏💚 KiaOra. Thank you for posting.

What a fascinating replay! This just demonstrates how well can GlobalQuake work in ideal conditions with super fast seedlinks 😉
