"Larry King Show" intro circa 1986 #radioshow
Hey, it's Sybil from MoronicArts.com bringing you this Larry King Show intro from around 1986. Jim Bohannon used to fill in for Larry before he got his own radio show, and Larry went on to start his TV show on CNN.

*"What?"*
Can you post old Larry King interviews? That would be awesome.
I wish I had them. Thank you for the request!
Before seeing this special, I was informed once that this was not really suitable for children, and it's easy to see why. This is one of the very few sources of Sesame Street I've ever seen at all, of any kind, that actually very directly referred to the Muppet characters as not being real. I'm a bit surprised that they never drew attention to the film "It's a Wonderful Life", the source from which Bert & Ernie got their names!
Say it out loud " JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH" protect me my family and this house from evil spirits kick them out far away i dont want them here please heavenly father clear my home from unseen spirits
Amen.
40 years later and I still love these shows.
Ditto
better than anything on Nickelodeon NOW.
Chet! Hay!
Chet is my favourite letter of the Aleph-Bet. Shabat Shalom!
Pastor Dobbratz was an associate pastor at my church for a while. He had some very unnerving stories to tell, and that's part of the reason I believe in paranormal/demonic activities. Needless to say, having an exorcist as your pastor was awesome and scary at the same time lol.
1:07 intro.
Would like to see the rest of the 78-79 shows
Thank you for the request.
Hi can you do a random pbs kids episode of season 43
Thanks for the request.
No problem
American Wheel of Fortune aired in Japan?
Yeah, on an American military base
@@SybilKibble Cool, I didn’t know American Wheel outside of US and Canada, that’s great so the military stationed there doesn’t miss any shows! ❤️🙂
It’s fun looking back at this. Justin was probably my first crush
oh wow. I think my first TV crush was "Monique" from 3-2-1 Contact.
Welcome home Khadijah!!!
I'm glad they changed this game. this is awful trying listen or read the question while a dinging bell is going off plus getting eliminated in the first round. Glad they brought it back with the changes and a new host
R.I.P. Caroll Spinney and Jim Henson
This is new to me, and I watched PBS all the time during the ‘70s. I’d place this episode circa 1974.
I think the company said 1975. Thanks for watching :)
We know now that these circles were made by a few guys at night with a 2x4 and some rope.. and some artistic talent 😂

Hi can you do a pbs kids episode of 4302 the good sport
I don't have it, sorry.
It’s ok
This is a surprisingly decent quality recording! Ha, I've seen a lot of AotLK video postings, and most of them look like... well, like SLP VHS recordings from the 80s on degraded tapes 😄 It would be awesome to see what the original for-air Betacam masters looked like.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
I grew up upstate and would stay up way past my bedtime as a kid. I remember when this would come on.
One of my favorite parts of You Can!t Do That on Television is how there wasn’t a fourth wall. I just wasn’t old enough to recognize that’s how it was.
As of September 2024, I have spent the better part of six months in this ridiculous phase where I watch the goonies with the audio commentary going once a night. Watching all these segments of You Can’t Do That on Television, I think I understand what attracted me to the Goonies when it first got a whole media in ‘85; the seven leads reminded me of Alasdair, Christine, Kevin, Lisa, Doug, Marjorie, Todd, Stephanie and the various other child/teen participants in this show. Ironically, that shouldn’t have happened. It’s like the casts of YCDTOT and The Goonies were so different - they were exactly the same.
It’s never a bad day to hear Alasdair Gillis recurring the line from the dungeon about being set free, “Blue skies, Barfy Burgers, girls ‘n’ things!”
I figured with all the episodes I’ve streamed on TH-cam over the last two or three days, it’s about time I found one with Kevin Kubocheskie, and it’s one of the more memorable ones from his stretch on the show with him being scripted to think that wearing armor was the secret to getting himself courage. Also, the scene at the end of the opposite sequence with Les (Lance) getting beat up plus the one with Alastair getting himself out of having to eat liver a short time later have both been at the back of my head since the episode originally aired.
I think I saw this when I was five. I remembered the intro, but the rest of the episode went by me.
I learned via Minty’s Comedic Arts yesterday that this particular You Can’t Do That on Television segment was banned in Canada during the 80s. Truth be told, I’m almost never surprised by anything of late, and this is no exception. I only wish I remembered watching this when it was on Nickelodeon. I would’ve remembered it when my own parents split up.
Thank you, me neither. "Cancel culture" has been around much longer than its name. And I am sorry about your parents' divorce. :(
Thank you, Sybil. I was sorry about their split myself when it happened, but that was 2003. It’s now 2024, and I’m actually trying to get a sense of humor about it last. You’re not wrong about cancel culture. I hate to say it, but I’m one of the parties guilty of trying to carry it out.
I enjoyed this show a whole lot when I was in single digits during the 80s, but I underestimated how hilarious it was. Glad it’s here to re-embrace in 2024.
Same here, as a kid I thought the bits with people getting slimed were funny. :) As an adult the show is even funnier.
Man, do I remember this! “Alastair, B stands for boys!”
The tone accompanying the WSBK color bars sounds like ~405 Hz.
The audio nerd in me thanks you. :)

@@SybilKibble yeah but the audio goes offtrack midway through
Thank you -- I will check my copy and upload it if the audio quality is better.
the person in the beginning of this video mentioned the Y2K disaster that never happened, so this is probably a rerun from the 90s
Re-airing indeed, from Dec 31, 1999.
Isn't that Soundcheck playing?

“You deleted expletive!” Most classy way ever to call someone an asshole.
LOLOL
why was it banned? :)
According to O-Jay, the record execs considered it "too negative" LOL.
@@SybilKibble Thats so dumb 😭
I agree one hundred per cent.
“Night Court” was such a good show.
I am 48. I saw this when this originally aired back in 1988 I was 12. Every aspect of the story scared me. Even to this day. And the scariest part of all was, I live in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Horicon, Wisconsin is only 30 to 40 miles away… Now I live in Madison, it’s still only 30 to 40 miles away. I went on a date with someone from Horicon once. While I was driving, I knew of the house, and I knew what street it was on. There have been times I have joked with friends and said some Halloween we should just drive there and just drive past the house just to say, we saw it. But honestly, it may be a superstitious part of myself, but I don’t want any energies, malevolent or otherwise coming home with me. I have always heard, though , various resources throughout the Internet report that whom ever lives there now hasn’t experienced anything. And I’ve also heard that the Tallman’s are still in Wisconsin and are doing OK.
Cute. :)
