Two Brothers who enjoy the outdoors and making videos. Weather it's softbaiting from a kayak or just a boat or down the river or lakes trout fishing. We even do a bit of bowfishing from shore and on a boat and even the odd hunting with the bow and gun.

Bowfishing Whangamarino NZ
มุมมอง 524หลายเดือนก่อน
On this video I went to Whangamarino stream with the brother Karl and dad bowfishing carp. It's definitely not one to miss probably one of my best carp videos so far. We started first thing in the morning it started of a bit slow but when the sun started coming up a bit we certainly got on to them #newzealand #nz #carp #bowfishing #fishing #shootingfish #bowfish #waikato #northisland #bowanda...
Koi carp shooting(The drains)
มุมมอง 465หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video the mate Peter and I head to Aka Aka north Waikato in the North Island to bowfish carp in the drains. We were driving the country roads along the drains looking for carp. It was a bit slow but we managed to ping off a few. #nz #newzealnd #bowandarrow #newzealand #bowfishing #fishing #shootingfish #adventure

Thanks from all the fresh water dwellers.
it was a keeper man what are you doing? all that delicious fried fish is now dolphin food.
We often put the bigger ones back for breeding plus we were happy we already had enough for a feed
Родину т. е народ правельно? Где родители там дом где народ там и родина так ведь может хоть вы сделаете что-то для народа России.
my wife went on a fishing trip with our local mens rugby team....she came home with a red snapper. :]
She recieved that goliath grouper
New toys are always fun. Ditch the chilly bin and buy fish cool bag, you will appreciate the extra deck space. Kai 700 is ideal size for snapperfishing.
Good idea I’ll look into that cheers man🤟
What are the details on your chipper
Hi Gary just wondering what chipper you are using
I'm not actually sure what brand it is. It's one we got of trade Me it's 15hp it's all metal. Our last one we had was 5hp and Part of it was plastic and with the vibrating with putting the carp through it cracked quite a bit.
@@RobbieHogan-sj3zk you can always private message me on my Facebook page Topshotbowfishing and outdoors and if you are in the Waikato close enough you can have a look to see what I use
Bloody good work 👍
Cheers mate 😁
Is this off the Waikato bro?
@@HemiCollier this is in the whangamarino swamp
Hey mate just wondering what do you end up doing with the karp do they make good bait?
@@BlakevanRas yeah man that's my main bait I use it's really good nice and oily. I also put the frames through a mulcher and make them into burley
That’s the way to do it! 😊😊😊😊
@@GiveItAShot_SlingshotsNFishing yeah definitely the freezer is starting to get full with bait and burley now.
Do u need some sort of permit or license to bow fish carp in nz?
@@nathanrawlings5798 there is a permit you are meant to get which I think you can get it if the DOC site or if you are a member of the bowhunters society it covers it
@@Topshotbowfishing Cheers bro hoping to give it a go
@@nathanrawlings5798 they make good bait if you are out fishing if you take the scales off and fillet them with the skin on

Nice shot ma bro where did u catch it waikato river ? Theres too many off them here in AOTEAROHA!(new zealand)Good on you ma bro !
Cheers mate, yeah that one was in the Waikato river but the Karapiro dam. They make really good bait
There also good for making fish oil and blood n bone mix
Bro you better have eaten that.not cool bro.how can one take a life for sport or fun😢i understand if you were hunting for a feed.
When I shoot something nothing goes to waste. I fillet the carp to use for bait when I go fishing they make very good bait and the frames go through a mulcher that they get made into burley
😮💨😮💨😮💨
Nice shot, They taste any good?
I use them for bait when I go fishing they make very good bait
Why you shoot a koi? Weird people do weirdo things
They are a big pest here in NZ and I used them for bait and burley when I go fishing they make very good bait
One word poacher!
lol you don't even know what you are talking about
Arnt they protected?? 😮
Not over here in NZ they are a big pest
Fishing with rod is the better way man …
I do have mate that fish for them with a rod but over here in NZ it is illegal to release them it's a big fine if you get caught
Wtf you shooting koi
They are a big pest in NZ. You obviously have no idea
@@Topshotbowfishinglet me enlighten you before you say people have no idea… the koi you just shot is a 3 color one, meaning judging to its size thats a 500euro fish if you would have kept it alive and sold it or grow them 10 more years to the size they are worth 10 to 15000euro….depending on the colours and size they can go up to 150.000 euro a piece and you just shoot them calling others stupid 😂
@@Tom-w7p6bI know they are worth money overseas but here they aren't worth anything and it's illegal to catch them and sell them. Over here you aren't even allowed to be caught with them alive otherwise it's a big fine
Learn to make deadly shots, this is bad
I would like to see you try your wouldn't be able to hit shit
😢😢😢
Why are you shooting gold fish?
www.doc.govt.nz/nature/pests-and-threats/freshwater-pests/koi-carp/
Because that's were they end up after being pets. A problem to our native species

Cool video mate looks like a good day. What weight jig head you using? Haven't seen the red ones before
Hey karl. Great name haha the Jig heads are called Finesse ShroomZ from Zman the weight I’m using is 1/6 oz. But good to have a few lighter ones too.. On the end of those I’m useing Zman Slim swimz soft baits
@topshotbowfishingandoutdoors haha you a karl aswel? Yeah sweet man I seen they where the slim swims the head had me confused tho. You from round here? I'm quite often down at the dam. When the fly other streams are shut.
@@karlpeace8960Yep I’m Karl too hahah I live in Cambridge i’m very surprised I haven’t bumped into you down there
Brown twn
Yeah man🤟 apparently 20 years ago there used to be mostly rainbows. Now you do get the odd rainbow but so many Browns.
Is that a new boat I see? What's it like? Have you tried bowfishing from it yet ? Browns are the new Koi as far as being counted as a pest
@@harbruharbru Hey mate yeah just a little muck around Boat for me easy for the solo missions Haven’t tried shooting koi on it yet but I’m sure it be great fun! Awesome little Boat it’s called True kit tactician.
good stuff
Cheers bro🤟
The spot at 7mins is the honey hole. Cought alot of big trout with worms there
Hi bud. Could you recommend any winter carp shooting spot?
Hey mate, I don't actually go carp shooting in the winter cause I find it a bit hard unless you get a lot of rain and the lake around huntly are flooded. The should be starting to come around now. I'm still finding it a bit hard though
Thank you s much for the response and advise :) will keep trying. I feed them to my cats and they LOVE it. Running low on last summer's haul :) Good luck out there
Shot mate.
