Most likely it is because the cert on the Qlik Server is self-signed and the code is executed on a different server than the Qlik Sense server. Try to run the code from the Qlik Server and see if that helps. If it works, you can install a real cert on the Sense server or install the self signed cert on the server where the code is executed.

What do my mean by already authenticated, in Qlik Sense or in another system?

@@qlikoem6752 So I have an external portal, where the user will login, and after doing so he is presented with various choices, embedded qlik sense reports (mashups) being one of them, I wanted to know how to take care of tickets here, also does there have to be a user directory in qlik or there is no need for one?

@@nathan3804 Then you just have to create a ticket from the code, the user doesn't need to be in any other user directory. You need to create a rule in the QMC which automatically assigns a license to the user.

@@qlikoem6752 Just to clarify one more thing, in this example the dev has used certificates exported from Qlik sense, I would assume in my case that machine would be the webserver I host the mashups on. But would this be correct for production?

@@nathan3804 You have multiple certificates, one is the self-signed cert created on installation of Qlik Sense. In a production env. you should have a real cert from a CA on the server, on the real external domain name. The other cert, client.pfx, is the one giving you admin access to the QMC through the API, without that cert you are not able to request a ticket. In production it is always recommend to host the mashup on an external webserver - see th-cam.com/video/zu6fIifgXqw/w-d-xo.html

What do you see in the Chrome console? Are you authenticated on Qlik Sense in another tab?

@@rommeldulatas1350 OK, you are not autheticated then. Login to Qlik sense in one tab and access your mashup in another tab in the same browser. Remember if you are using a virtual proxy when you authenticate, then your virtual proxy should be added to the prefix in the js file like '/<YourVirtualProxy>/'. If you don't use a virtual proxy the it should just be '/' in prefix. Remember to update your HTML references too.

@@qlikoem6752 Yes, I logged in on a separate tab and refreshed the mashup. I used virtual proxy and updated needed references on the html and js file. I'm thinking if this is something to do with the certificate not recognized?

@@rommeldulatas1350 Are you using http or https? If http, please try with https. If your are using https, please paste in the the head part of your html file and the top part of your js file, so I can see the configuration.

Have you changed the references in the files as shown in the video? What do you see in the Chrome developer console?

@@qlikoem6752 Hi, I've changed my html file and js file as necessary. In js file, I've arranged var config part but I had "Uncaught ReferenceError: require is not defined at Mashup.js error " . I've examined the js file via Chorme Developer Tools and I've noticed the error is in the require.config part of the js file . In the video, you didn't changed require.config part of the js file. Could you please help me to solve this error ?

@@burakcatikkas6272 My best guess is that your are not authenticated. Try to login to Qlik Sense in one tab and the access your mashup in another tab.

​@@qlikoem6752 I have Administrator type user in Windows Server. Also, I have added the new user as standart type in Windows Server . I tried to login to Qlik Sense in one tab and access mashup in another tab , I saw my mashup that created. But, all contents are inactive in QMC . ( I logged in as new user that is in the video 07:52 ) Is there an authentication problem with this ?

I am looking to embed my Qliksense app to the Web Page. My Requirements: If we are going for that web page it shouldn't ask Qlik Credentials or Windows Credentials Like If we are going for Public website it will show everything. Can you please help me how I can do this ?

You have to create a token assignment rule in Qlik QMC, so a token automatically gets assigned. I hope this will work for you.

@@qlikoem6752 I did it, i configured token authentication in my server, i built the authorization module in .NET and when i get redirected to the qlik panel (with the token) i cannot open any charts i dont have permission for anything

@@thewolfman8314 You have to go into the Qlik QMC and create a token assignment rule eg userdirectory like * (use the wizard), then a token will automatically be assigned to your ticket user

@@thewolfman8314 OK, so if you have a token I suppose you can login to the hub using windows authentication. If that is correct, then I suggest you try to use the exact same username and userdirectory in your ticket request. If you want to see the exact username and userdirectory you can look in the QMC under users.
