My dad and I are both autistic and we’re both like this. When it comes to support needs I’m level 1 but slightly level 2 leaning and my dad is all level 1.

I’m autistic. I rarely feel angry on the outside. I have communication, social and sensory problems. Bad/mean people are able to control me. I repeat the same topics. I have trouble talking to others. I easily make mistakes and/or messes. That’s what my autism causes me to do.

You can outSmart bad people!! Just predict how they are going to hurt you then trick them! 😊😊😊 if they hate you they are going to prepare some Traps and experiment you to fall for it!! If they give you orders just say no if you can smell ..they are going to put you in troubles. If they try to shame you just say to the next person they have bad intentions and you can’t work with them because you Simply can’t trust them.

Maybe it is everyone else. Why label it autism? It's just wanting truth.

One of the cows just broke fourth wall and looked into the camera 😂

Anyone also remember the scene in which she officially tests her hug machine on other students in order to prove that it's helpful?

It doesn't hug, it clamps, in soft sort of way. She finds it relaxing or reassuring, like the cows do.

Anyways, I'm a person with autism and yes, sometimes I have trouble dealing with change or the fact that everything seems like a sprint to me while it's normal for everyone else. Another problem is perfectionism. Unfortunately, you don't have to be autistic to suffer from these same problems. The problem is, as we all expect, it doesn't truly exist. I saw many different Ted Talks and presentations on youtube covering a wide range of topics, such as the model minority myth of Asian Americans of how they are better or have to be better than the standard population or how youth sports or music have become too competitive thanks to pushy adults who put pressure on children or simply kids taking things too seriously. I'm a white American, yet the "Asian Does Not Start With A" really gave me and a lot of other people the proper prognosis, that parents and kids I myself are all pushing ourselves and others too far. I hate having to deal with that. It feels like that same Beatlemania visualization clip in my head but with varying other emotions of frustration and anger, almost as if a volcano was about to explode. Once you've experienced these developmental horrors of autism, you can't put the genie back in its bottle. It's not even funny. I met temple Grandin in delta college and was lucky to speak to her in person. It takes a lot of time, investment, luck and an enormous amount of courage to have the opportunity to talk to someone who is inspirational to not only the cattle community but for people with autism from all over the world. What I now need to learn is that life isn't always going to be a sprinting competition where you are trying to aim to knock everyone out of the park and to become well known and famous. Who knows, some of the great stuff people do might be influenced by you without even knowing it.

I wonder if the cows were thinking, "Why the heck is she lying here on the ground like that?"

I'm autistic and that's exactly how it feels to be absorbed in your special interest: magical, peaceful, alive. In Temple's case, her special interest isn't cows and the magical tone of the music of the cow scene near the end brings to life the feelings we Autistic people get when we are content in our own world.

I have autism. When I'm with animals, like how Temple is with the cows, there's no other feeling like it. I am satisfied. When I'm with people I feel like an alien even if I might be having a nice time but animals are just like me. It's hard to explain...But when I sit on the ground and my horses gather around me or I hold a cat or lay beside one of the dogs at the animal shelter to have a quiet conversation or even stand at an operating table in the Vet clinic my mind and body are at home.

I wonder if all of us Autistics feel like this, I certainly do.

Me too. Just looking at animals makes want to be one of them, there is no ambiguity with animals, if they hate you, they'll show it and likewise, if they like you, they'll show it.

I'm really glad you've found things that make you happy as it's really important we do those things in life. Even non autistic people like myself sometimes prefer to be around animals rather than people as like you say animals show their feelings more clearly than people.

Aww I just love the scene with cows! It's so cute and serene and it's one of the most iconic scenes in the movie

A large number of autism "symptoms" are nothing more than self-fulfilling prophecies that cause people to act the ways described by those prophecies in response to ancient stigmas on the label as invented by Swiss conman Paul Bleuler and preceded by demonic possession of the Jewish Christian cult and Holy Roman Empire.

vmkblaster1 I'm certain you've seen stuff of that ilk in your region. And you read me right; they're self-fulfilling prophecies.

Rohan Zener Sike. Go get a degree in neuro-biology and come back to me with a straight face and tell me that it’s a “self-fulfilling prophecy”. Then I will truly be laughing at how inept you are.

Rohan Zener I thought we were talking about autism, not mythological creatures.
