    The Rare Metals War: the dark side of clean energy and digital technologies’ by Guillaume Pitron The very rare metals these cars need are mined in third world countries with appalling conditions for their work force. They require significant quantities of rock to be extracted to get the minute quantities of metal that will e extracted per tonne. They are very polluting to extract and then there is the loss of land scape, food production land and habitat . Then there is the re-cycling at the end of the life, or the lack there of. Scientists say we will be lucky if we can re-cycle just 10% of the rare metals used in these battery powered vehicles. This is a huge folly and part of an accepted narrative that needs to be challenged. According to Cambridge University Emeritus Professor of Technology Michael Kelly, replacing all the United Kingdom’s vehicles with next-generation EVs would require more than half the world’s annual production of copper; twice its annual cobalt; three quarters of its yearly lithium carbonate output; and nearly its entire annual production of neodymium

    What is the plan for charging the fleet of electric vans? Are you installing charging points at operatives homes?

      They’re putting chargers on our driveways at home, got mine fitted last month and am expecting my van this month

      @@andrewwind6993 at the minute you’re discounted from the roll out, I know a couple lads trialling it and they have to utilise public rapid chargers

    Thanks for some real details on the van! :) It certainly has efficiency issue etc. Was this 50kWh pack as you said it's set at 150mi range but you were getting closer to 220mi? Sounds like it as 230km is advertised for 50kWh here - and i was looking at the specs like wtf that is very inefficient. 75kWh then should take you what 80mi more or to 300mi range? That's still not very good, but it's better than e-NV200

    Thanks for the video. Based on your data avg consumption was around 200wh/km or 320Wh/mile is that right? What was the avg consumption on the board computer?
