I usually duplicate and spin from the center pivot point to get a cylinder, and then to hollow it out I make a copy, move it over, and then resize the original cylinder in the direction to make just the rim. Then I move back the copied cylinder and resize it in the other direction to make the other half of the rim. Also very easily scaleable as long as you start from the cylinder, harder to scale the finished rings

how do you make the multiple red light loop part? i tried chaining the lights with timer blocks but they stay on even after I turn on the loop. i tried making multiple loops but they de-synchronize every few seconds, any tips?
