blocking the walls with a sheep was a smart move, maybe it might be smart, especially for a civ like byz that are berry focused anyways to keep 1-2 sheep spare for your scout even if you aren't running horsemen to block optimal building locations for age up or at least walls or small buildings in the radius of landmarks aura while you are in the opening phases of harassment, probably only makes a few dozen seconds delay or cost a few extra seconds and recourses to build around the corpse but could be a small thing that helps you get enough of a lead that it pays off in the form of having a few extra troops then them or that extra 20 seconds to research better troop techs while they are still a age behind due to that delay

this map makes for some really bad games

the only answear are horseman when they have only shooting elphants, if they have war elephant as well then cannoniers are the only option against them. Not bombard or something like this. Just cannoniers. 12 cannoniers are killing 1 elphant with 1 round. I was playing 2 days ago against Delhi and ones I almost win but I didn't know how to counter running shooting elephant and second time just horseman and spearmens didn't work on massive number of elephants. You can kill them easily when you will split them. If they are together then cannoniers.

Sticking with a single civ per player would be cool, but i think it would be better as a mini league instead of knock out to see all the match ups. How do you convince anyone to play the weaker civs though.

when going with khaganate palace always take improved military academy cause it speeds up the landmark by 56% i think, which is alot in terms of resources

i want to see a tournament with outer part of map that cant have defenses built on it :D so people cannot wall off halves of the map :D

For tournaments in the future, definitely more like the recent forged in steel. Coaches draft players and live coach them. That was really fun to watch and created some exciting, nail biting games.

such a boring design for delhi, unit spamming retards you cannot defend against cause it also puts you on a timer. always boring to play vs a dehli bot.

the crossbow doesn't do bonus against the towerfants , horseman should do the trick better

I wouldn't feel bad counter picking him every game. Like he wants to one trick at the top level then he is gunna have to get used to being countered or learn to play another civ at the top level. Its so boring to see him olay the exact same way every single time and you are the one that is forced to adapt. It feels cheap. So play a counter and force him to think for once. At least we might get to see him try a different strat.

I recently played against dehli. 1. I managed to get 5 relics again dehli dia 1 player. 2. Killed 10-20 vills. 3. Was on two tc whole time. 4. He didn't had any scared sites. And result was he had more army than me. You know what he was spamming hand cannon.... After that I stopped playing against dehli.

The same opponent playing the same civ. Again. And again.

From what I'm seeing, I don't see any downsides to Delhi. No significant weaknesses. You can't really go aggressive on them early, their econ is amazing and is on par with other high econ civs like Malian(which is insane), their production and research is better, and many of their units are really hard to kill. If their rush to imperial it's hard for most civs currently in the game to be able to survive.

I don’t understand why can’t beasty field a couple of horseman not saying an army full of horsemen , just like a 20 or so would definitely help a bit , but it’s the lack of gold really that’s the problem not enough gold on gorge and Delhi doesn’t really need gold with 5 relics and 3 sacred sights , and 0 gold spent on upgrades , Delhi is beast in maps with low gold it’s also not having the citadel buff hurts a lot but again no gold at all is the main reason I would say probably also losing the fuedal/ sacred sight and the relics fight hurt a lot in late game 400 gold per minute might now sound like a lot for other civs but for Delhi it’s 400 gpm just on units and it also means less vills on gold + the free elephants the whole thing is fucking dramatic tbh , like both players had 24k gold , all upgrades excluding Delhi unique ones are like 17k gold , May just had 24k gold on units and beasty had 24k gold on units and upgrades

Why not just make a market and sell the food for gold?

miss when strellsi mob was good against them, elephants should definately be bumped up to 4 population at minimum and their crossbows slightly nerfed
