In league with the Renewed Hope Initiative from the office of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; the ASE/AUDA-NEPAD Scholarship was launched on August 1st, 2024, granting 200 awardees an opportunity at the highest levels of Education.

Une de ces femmes guerrières de Dahomey Abdaraya Toya (Victoria Montou nom donné par le colon) était esclave sur la mème plantation que Jean Jacques Dessalines, le père de la nation Haitienne. Elle a élevé et formé au combat Dessalines qui est devenu le hero de la guerre de l'independance haitienne et Empereur d'Haiti. Dessalines l'appelait Tante Toya. Elle faisait partie de l'armée indigène de la guerre de independance. Elle n'était pas l'unique femme qui faisait partie de cette armée. Il y en avait mème des officiers parmi elles. Lorsque Dessalines devint Empereur sur le nom de Jacques 1er, il a élevé sa tante Toya au rang de Duchesse. Elle mourut une année plutard et a reçu des funerailles nationales oú les dignitaires de l'empire étaient présents.

L'histoire du Dahomey est trop flou. Il est incroyable que ces guerrières ont perdu la guerre, allez en profondeur pour la vérité
L'une de ces guerrières nommée Andaraya Toya était piégée et vendu a St Domingue comme esclave. Elle a formé le héro de la guèrre de l'independance d'haiti qui remporta la victoire sur l'armée de Bonarpate.

Quite inspiring. It's just amazing what ASE has been able to accomplish in such a short period of time. Just one observation though: there seems to be a confusion. University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University are both in Pennsylvania and they are both great universities, but they are not the same. Christelle is at Penn State University, though she keeps mentioning the University of Pennsylvania
