@@MEHerlihy A lot of people think that. I can understand the confusion. The Irish seem to get a lot of credit for all the Celtic folk songs. But many including this one Parting glass is Scottish. All the best.

Really like the concept I think I would like instrumental better.
Look up the Dempsey retirement version. "Parting Glass Dempsey" resolves it top off the list on here. The old general has a pretty good voice.
