EXPLANATION (with time stamps): If anyone wants to replicate the "one-shot", I would also suggest cancelling the Volition upgrade from "A Pluck of Many." (2:51) THIS REALLY HELPS YOU OUT! Otherwise, Erlang will punish you by freezing you and/ your clones. This might take you a few tries. Be patient and follow the process! I almost gave up on this before this run. 😊 IMPORTANT - **THE BONUS, "UNIFIED MINDS" IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ONE-SHOT.** (2:11) YOU CANNOT ONE-SHOT ERLANG WITHOUT THIS BONUS!!! This bonus is what allows the clones to sync up for the heavy attack at 1:15. I am at the max level in the game - 342 (1:24). And I have fully upgraded stats from the celestial medicines. (3:23) I have beat the game three times and unlocked all the 18 passive bonuses from the six relics. (2:05) You can unlock all these bonuses if you beat the game with the true ending at least three times. The armor set I used was the Yaksha set. Equipping all four pieces allows for a damage bonus - both dealt and taken! (1:32) I used the Dark Iron Staff (3:05) for the increased base damage. This staff increases your attack based on how high defense stat is. The vessel I used was the Plantain Fan (0:34) which summons a hurricane to stun enemies for a short duration. In this case, it will quickly break Erlang's shield. (0:54) The curios I used for the buffs were: 1. Three Beast Buddhas - for the increased critical hit damage, (1:38); 2. One Auspicious Lantern - for the attack buff you get once you use Cloud Step (1:40); and 3. One Gold Button, which gives you an attack buff as long as you have full health. (1:41) The drink and soaks provide passive buffs once you drink from the gourd. The gourd I used was the Multi-Glazed Gourd (1:44) which temporarily buffs your attack once you take a sip from the gourd. The drink I used was the Loong Balm (2:35) which increases the next attack after a sip from the gourd. The soaks (2:36) I used are: 1. Double-Combed Rooster Blood (Increases movement speed and critical hit chance; also removes poison state - but, that's irrelevant for this run); 2. Stranded Loong's Whisker (Increases the duration of the next immobilize spell); 3. Tiger Relic (Increases critical hit chance); and 4. Breath of Fire (Increases attack for the Unveiling Strike in Cloud Step - 1:15 in the video) The medicines (1:58) I used were: 1. Loong Amplification Pellet - increases attack, critical hit chance and critical damage; 2. Enhanced Tiger Subduing Pellet - increases attack; 3. Septenary Heartfire Pill - upon use, imstantly resets spell cooldowns; and 4. Enhanced Ginseng Pellet - upon use, instantly gives a four point focus bar. BREAKDOWN OF THE RUN: At the start of the run, I took one Loong Amplification Pellet and one Tiger Subduing Pellet (0:23). I, then used the Plantain Fan (0:28) to remove Erlang's shield. At this point, I wanted to swap the Fan for the Weaver's Needle for the increased critical hit chance and increased critical damage. But, the game did not allow it! 😢 Tangent aside, I used the Gore-Eye Daoist transformation (0:49) to summon the toad staff. The toad staff will buff any attack (1:14) if you stay in the red glow it projects. IMPORTANT - **THIS IS THE MOST CRUCIAL STEP FOR THE DAMAGE!!!** After that, I used A Pluck of Many (0:54) and Cloud Step (0:57) to get the attack buff from the Auspicious Lantern curio. I, then take one Septenary Heartfire Pill (1:00) to reset my spell cooldowns. I use A Pluck of Many once more (1:01). At this point, I drink from the gourd (1:05), which allows for the attack buff from both the Multi-Glazed Gourd and the Loong Balm drink. I take one Enhanced Ginseng Pellet (1:09) to get the four focus points. Then, I use Immobilize (1:12) on Erlang to freeze him in range of the toad staff.
