    Amazon has them 60 gallon heavy duty water bladders. I have 2 of them. (One I fill inside my camper over the axels after slides closed) My Jayco 242BHSW has 70 gallon fresh water but Extra 60 Gallons helps a lot. Milwaukee makes a 18v cordless transfer pump also. What I do is when I get to my boondocking sites I gravity drain my full 50 to 60 gallon to my other 60 gallon outside to the other bladder. Draining my tanks I also have a 28 gallon Rhino dump I store on my ladder. I dry camp 2 or 3 weeks on the beach for dip netting season Kasilof Ak. Dump station about a 20 min drive during that trip I re fill both 60 gallons of fresh water. The 60 gallon water bladders are a time saver.

      @@RoginaRoamingstay away from the Auqatank2. My aquatank2 started leaking on the 2nd refill. Milwaukee 18v Batteries been very helpful also, if you have starlink. I have 2 of the 18v to 120v converter running of (2) 12 amp hr batteries. 1 for the starlink, other for the Television. Also spare 8 amp hr battery for ther cordless water pump. Also the Iceco 12v 58qt fridge/freezer I stored under the bunk section for extra week and 1/2 food storage.

    Great list. I upgraded our solar to 400w this year so I had to upgrade the charge controller as well. I still have the smaller charge controller in place, just not connected, so my plan is to pick up some portable panels or buy 2 100w panels and turn them into a suitcase style set up and use those when we're parked in shade but I may be able to run a portable away from the bus and set it up in the sun.

    • @RoginaRoaming
      @RoginaRoaming 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That sounds like a good plan! We have a similar setup and we don't use the portable panel often but it's great to have for those times you need it.

  • @hammer48ful
    @hammer48ful 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

    We dry camp about 90 % of the time. We use spray bottles to wash and rinse when we do dishes. We also use portable solar panel to recharge our camper. That way we can park in the shade to keep the camper cooler and charge up the batteries. We use an inverter that hooks up to the soar panels to charge up the lap top and our tool batteries. For the bathroom we use battery string lights so that we have light using the bathroom at night. We have a generator that we hardly use for those rainy days to charge things up. Getting a battery operated fan is on our list.

    Another handy liquid for any kind of camping (or for everyday use in the car), is No Rinse body wash concentrate. A few very small squirts into a bowl or spray bottle with water goes on sudsy but wipes clean with a regular sink towel or paper towel. Hence the name No Rinse! Sold at medical supply stores, or Costco pharmacy.

    I live in Bodega Bay, California… It isn’t ALWAYS windy but Doran is hit or miss. CAUTION at Wrights Beach… the surf is wickedly unpredictable and there is a steep drop and wide rip currents. Never get in the surf here… keep kids WAY back (sneaker waves) and never let your dog in the ocean at Wrights.☠️ Far too often people drown on our beaches and in the Russian River. Great list.

    Loved this video, as it was, for us, a fun trip down Memory Lane, having camped at eight on your list. Our all-time favorites are Russian Gulch, our favorite small park of all time, and Hendy Woods. I would add to your list Jedediah Smith State Park outside of Crescent City, with the most spectacular old growth redwood grove I have ever experienced, and Burney Falls State Park. Burney Falls gets really HOT in the summer time. In the Sierras, we love Donner Pass and Calaveras Big Trees State Parks.

      Are you looking for something in a particular county? There are some nice campgrounds near Burney and Hat Creek including Burney Falls State Park. There are also some nice options in the Eldorado National Forest such as Sunset-Union Valley. I've heard good things about Pinecrest, though we haven't made it there yet. And we always enjoy Tahoe. We like Donner Memorial in Truckee and Nevada Beach near South Lake.

    Only somewhat useful without mention of costs of campgrounds and whether or not tent camping is allowed.

    • @RoginaRoaming
      @RoginaRoaming หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tents are allowed at all of those campgrounds, though I wouldn't recommend tent camping at Doran Regional Park. There is a lot of wind there and we've seen some tent campers having a pretty rough time with it. I don't include prices just because that info can change but these are all regional and state parks so the average cost is around $40/night. I plan to add some more details next time I create a video like this so I appreciate the feedback 😊

Our truck is an F150 poweboost with the 7.2kW pro-power inverter/generator, plus the trailer will have the max solar package and extra lithium battery capacity, so electrical power while boondocking shouldn't be an issue. When the lights are off, clicking the button once turns the regular light on. To turn the blue light on you hold the button instead. In either case one button click turns the light off. Any thoughts about cleaning the top side of the awning? It seems that some of those pesky spots were on the topside and then pressed onto the bottom when the awning rolled up. Thanks!

    • @RoginaRoaming
      @RoginaRoaming 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! We have a couple things we do to clean the top side. First, you can pull the elbows on the side supports that hold the awning. You know how you can pull one side down to tilt the awning during rain so it runs off the side? To clean it you can pull both sides and that way the awning is angled down. Angle both sides down as low as they can go so you can reach as much as possible. You can then wet it down with a hose and then use the magic eraser mop or even a regular mop to reach some of those hard to clean places. The other way we clean the top is we roll it in a little bit at a time and then use a broom to sweep the top. This helps us when we're packing up at camp and the top is covered with pine needles, leaves or dirt. It isn't the best way to clean it with water though because it needs to be left out to dry. Good luck with your awning!!Hopefully this helps!

    I have a 2017 model. I have made a few changes to it. First, I see they removed the front window! That was prone to leaking. It was a problem with many . Under bunks I cut an opening and used door for access. Put tv over kitchen counter. Still can use that cabinet behind tv. Secure tv with bunge cord when traveling and it acts as a door added a small sink in shower/ tube Added small bath wall cabinet, mirror also. The bunks were an issue also, very hot for kids. Installed fans in front wall for circulation replace kitchen sink faucet replaced tiny, dull ceiling lighting. Added solar bought cushion for dinner couch. As backrest so now when dinner down it’s a bed/ couch

      Thank you for the feedback! It's hard to know what details people will care about since everyone camps differently so I left it pretty vague. I've been thinking next time I do a video like this that I should include more details and have been trying to decide what would be the most helpful. So thank you for the input! I took some notes and hopefully there will be improvements in the future. 😁

    Thank you for the list! I would like to check them out. Unfortunately you need to plan the trips 6 months ahead to reserve the sites and we’re more spontaneous. We went to Nevada Beach last September and it was wonderful.

      @RoginaRoaming 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nevada Beach is one of my favorites and I think September is the best time to go 😁 But yeah, you definitely need to plan ahead for these. Sometimes you can get lucky by getting cancelled sites if you aren't too picky.

    Was there poison oak at your favorite site the northern California campsite by the redwoods

    • @RoginaRoaming

      I don't remember seeing poison oak at Elk Prairie. It's entirely possible some of the sites have some but it wasn't prevalent.

    SueMeg Park (formerly Patrick's Point) is one of my favorite campgrounds.

    Love your list, most of them close to home for us. Based on the proximity of most of your choices, I’m assuming we live in the same area. A campground I’ve not seen in this list or your other videos is Lawson’s Landing @ Dillon Beach right at the mouth of Tomales Bay. It’s a rather large privately owned dry campground. The one feature that makes it stand out from the other choices on your list is the beach itself is DOG FRIENDLY!!! They can run OFF leash on the beach and which is nearly 2 miles long with a ridge of dunes separating beach from campground. We’ve only camped there once, but it is our favorite beach for day trips with the dogs.

      We'll have to check that out, we haven't been there yet but that definitely sounds worth a trip. Thanks for the tip!

    You got great list ! Especially doran & prairie creek ( they filmed jurassic park 2 there). I'd add calaveras big trees ( Columbia state park, moaning caverns & railtown 1897 nearby)

      @@RoginaRoaming i'd stay away from the campsites next to Hwy 4 (noisy) . North Grove #2-11 are best imo & will fit your rig.

    Hi ! When you bought your new TT, did you hire a 3rd party RV inspector prior to purchasing?

    • @RoginaRoaming
      @RoginaRoaming 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We did not but we did bring my in-laws who have decades of experience with trailers. It helps to have more eyes looking for issues.

    I love your first pick- I used to hike there and have camped recently. The only drawback is the inability to take dogs on the trail

    • @RoginaRoaming
      @RoginaRoaming 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. It's always a bummer to see beautiful trails and not get to go because we don't want to ditch the dog. There's actually an old gravel road nearby, Cal Barrel Road, that is used as a dog-friendly trail. That was our plan but we ran out of time.

    New subscriber here. I look forward to following your page. Are these campgrounds free? I live close to half of these beautiful campgrounds. I live in the San Francisco North Bay Area. Thanks for sharing this is an awesome video!

      Welcome! Hopefully you get to check some of these campsites out! They aren't free, the nightly range varies by campground. Several of the State Parks are $35 a night.

      Thanks! The trees of mystery was a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend it. It was a little pricey but it felt worth it. The kids loved every minute of it and it was nice how dog friendly it was.

    Thankyou for the info. I bought a 2022 used micro same as yours so far I'm so thrilled with it. Its very roomy and great storage. Tows very nice too. We camp everywhere we can and prefer not to stay in the state parks. We live in Montana so there are plenty of free camping spots.
