Sight Fishing REDS in Hopedale, LA
went out sight fishing for redfish this morning, but it turned out to be a morning that more went wrong then for the good. i was able ti catch a few reds on a under spin. but i also lost a bunch due to them coming off, breaking my line, with the water being more of a stain i spooked several fish from not seeing them till i was on top of them, or missing bites. but the tide was coming in till after lunch, it was HOT with almost no wind till after 10:30, water was stained pretty good, and the water temp was right a 90 degrees. #fishing #redfish #subscribe #fish #boating

manage to catch a few this morning. not like we have been but looks like the bad weather from the night before made them a little on edge. some of them came off on the way back to the boat, or just slapped the bait and did not commit. the ones we did manage to catch was on the ole trusty chug bug, and the weightless fluke. in a white or shad color. #fishing #bassfishing #fishingtrip #tightlines

fishing in shell beach louisiana. caught a few reds and trout. caught everything on swim bait with under spin, and a june bug purple trick worm. tide was coming in, and the wind was blow south east about 8-10 mph. the bit was not super aggressive but when you did get a bite they had it. then on the way home my brake locked up on my trailer which caused my hug to fail. so we had to get a wrecker...

Was in hopdale LA. the bite was slow but that did not stop the big ones from biting. The reds were literally coming out of the grass to hit my swim bait and under spin. high winds, full moon, and high water normally dont add up to a awesome day, but we turned it into a good day despite all the odds. caught reds, trout, and sheeps head. caught them on swim baits, chatter baits, and under spin.

Not from what I have seen , I caught a few schooling in the marsh a few weeks ago but have not caught any sense
What’s your favorite bait to throw when sight casting reds ?
Just curious as to why you aren't keeping the reds?
@@DaGbKing I have plenty of fish in the freezer , when I do a fish fry and use some the next time I go out I will keep some to replace what I use so it’s always fresh and not just keeping fish to keep them. Let them fight for another day and I’ll keep a few as needed.

Yes sir , catch them on both. Seems like the whopper plopper does a little better on my experience.

Man we actually did pretty decent. I thought the same thing as you, but we found some deep holes in the marsh and managed to have a great time. Good luck to you when you go!
