I've been waiting to see a video by anyone like this for a very long time! Really surprised it wasn't done earlier. There were some videos talking about the lore of very specific Kraftwerk albums by a channel that I unfortunately don't remember the name of but not their whole discography. EDIT: Since, I commented this while I was watching, I have not finished this yet. To my knowledge, Kraftwerk's S/T 1 & 2's logo is inspired by Andy Warhol's minimalist design, specifically the Velvet Underground & Nico banana album cover. Might add more later if I find anything, great job nonetheless I guess! 17:47 for some reason a bit before that I was randomly thinking of Boards of Canada and holy shit, am I going crazy, is it because of me thinking about them or is Harmonika actually sounding similar to BoC's sound?

This was a magnificent review series. Introduced me to a lot of deep cuts I didn't know existed, some that I will definitely check out (others that I definitely won't lol), so yeah! And good reasoning process throughout the whole thing - even with differing tastes (because humans), it was clear to see your explanations for their placement.

haven't finished this series nor listened to all of these releases, but i'm very excited to hear your perspective. i appreciate discussing more obscure things by RDJ. sorry to hear your take on Orphaned Deejay Selek 06-08, this is one of my favorite Aphex releases. I DJ electro and techno and these tracks are interesting for being so spacey, pumping, and nervous acid. Bonus EMT Beats is actually a favorite of mine to incorporate into DH sets because it's in 5/4. it's a fun challenge to juggle beats and blend it with 4/4. playing a nonstandard time signature that still has a good groove can be really rewarding to play to a crowd who can handle it.

I agree with some of this stuff, but I can't stand the Analord 9 ranking! It's not one of the best of the series, but the thing is actually a really well made piece of acid techno, and I love the disfigured melodies a lot, especially PWSteal and W32. I do not like Backdoor.Netshadow however. It's kinda boring. But yeah, I agree with some of your opinions, so good video.

Eh. Saw 85-92 and Syro both feel a bit bland to me. Both have amazing highlights, but also have dull lowlights that dont do much for me. drukQs or SAW 2 are his best

I picked up this album sometime around 2004 I remember the first time playing it thinking this is not what I expected from aphex at that time it’s grown on me over the years! It’s a serious mash up of his works
