The Boss 351 is always listed as having a better 1/4 mile E.T. than the 429 CJ of the same year, but the magazine tests were not apples to apples. If you had a stock 1971 Boss 351 with drag pack against a 1971 429 SCJ with drag pack, the 429 is usually faster. I know a guy who has both and he says that the 429 is stronger. I am not knocking the Boss, I would LOVE to have either car. I have a 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler with 429 cj. This is as close as I will ever come to driving either of these awesome cars. Of course both would beat my car in stock form. Good video. Thanks for sharing.

Ive been a huge fan of Saleen from the early years. my very first car. 96 Saleen_s281Speedster spanking brand new off the showroom floor back then, and i still have it. best of times. This new car looks clean, but i do wish to see the return of Saleens Classic design language, those that were penned by Phil Frank. This car is clean. but ever since Phils departure Saleen's have never risen to their design heights of their past IMO. In fact, Saleens designs started looking too much like Roush, while Roush was busy lifting Saleens classic designs and treatments while the company was going thru those past years of strife. But here we are today, and thankfully Saleen still lives. That said.. This car's Front facia (and its the front facia i have the most issue with) reminds me of a past dodge design language. and even such design cues that look like camaro. Who's penning this stuff? I mean honestly, if you replace the Saleen tag with a Dodge logo it was scream Dodge. Again front facia, i do like much of the the rest though it too is a bit dated in many ways. Saleen needs to get back what its long lost, its identity. more over theyre not doing no where near as good as an effort as Ford themselves with the Shelby lineup, that at least design wise look jaw dropping. Come on Saleen, its time to get back what was lost. no more weak designers doing little more than copying others. lack luster work is not your MO, but it will be if this continues. and its not a reflection of the car beneath. Dont take this as an insult, take it as inspiration to return the glory that you once made upon the world, After all, it was Saleens Mustangs that also raced the same tarmac as the mclaren f1's debut at Lemans back in 97. Saleens cant look average. They are exotic, even those at ford got that bit right with Shelby. far beyond that of a normal mustang. and they surely know they cant mimic other marques.

Nothing but FAKE NEWS and scam from some american customers that has been rejected by dealers that have NO CLUE and is totally incompetent to service these cars. The fact is that battery cells are very RARELY going bad on this car. Here in Norway, there was NO occurence of warranty battery cell replacement, by the the first 8 years of the car’s life span. Norway is the largest market pr. capita with more than 33.000 units sold. And the statement given in this video, saying that individual cells can’t be replaced is plain BOLLOCKS - they can (if educated technicians are involved) ! There are 8 modules of 12 cells each - one module is nothing more than 2500$ - and it’s even possible to replace it with second hand or refurbished module at much lower cost. This video should have been removed entirely !
