The overwhelming history of the Temple mount and its footings is well documented. Jesus' prophecy about "not one stone remaining" speaks of the temple itself, not the whole grounds. Titus did fulfill this prophecy in A.D. 70, forcing the Jews to destroy the temple to get the melted gold out. The temple foundational stones are still there and that is what we see. There is no evidence of history of the Temple being in the Southern old city of David, that's just fiction.
