@@dinamac01 Hi! After completing induction and receiving the certificate I did not pay for the advanced and executive certifications. It really depends on your personal goals and schedule. The program was exciting at first but then I could not find the time to continue the other leadership courses. I personally did not see any value in continuing to purchase and earn the additional certificates. However, if you enjoy setting personal goals, working on self-improvement, and achieving leadership certifications then it might be worthwhile. Your experience in the NSLS is dependent on the dedication and time that you put into the programs, it is extremely self-driven. Hopefully this provides some clarity and insight for you!

Hi! The main requirement is to take 42 credits worth of gen ed courses. For the bachelor's program in accounting, the three compulsory gen ed classes (which adds up to 9 credits) are MAT-240: applied statistics, ECO-201: microeconomics, and ECO-202: macroeconomics. The remaining 11 courses (needed to fulfil the other 33 credits) from the gen ed catalog were determined with my academic advisor. The additional 11 courses that I took from the gen ed catalog were IDS-100, SNHU-107, ENG-122, HUM-100, ENG-123, IT-100, SCI-100, HIS-100, HUM-200, SCI-200, and HIS-200. However, I started my degree in 2022 so there might have been changes to the gen ed catalog since then. I would recommend contacting your academic advisor for more accurate information about the updated course catalog and to select gen ed courses that interest you. It is highly recommended that you utilize the Shapiro library to find academic sources to cite for research-based assignments. It really depends on your personal goals. I joined and went through induction to get the certificate for my resume. Although there is a one time membership fee to join the organization, all the other advanced leadership certificates require additional payments. The NSLS is a online honor society that offers leadership certificates, merchandise, and scholarship opportunities.

@@Jamesfisher4 How is it like to study all on your own, I am considering studying Psychology but terrified of the idea of self-study and no live lectures.

@@sunrisewithsalma Initially I found it very challenging but eventually I managed to adapt. Some courses are much more demanding than others, requiring additional time to research and learn new concepts. From my experience, the assigned textbooks and the Shapiro library database have been extremely helpful. Occasionally I do need to use Google to understand complex concepts. Just make sure to cite all your sources! What has worked for me so far is focusing on submitting assignments and discussions before/by the due date each week. The trick for discussions is to respond to instructor questions under your post (if any), and at least 2 classmates. I would recommend responding to 3 posts per discussion to guarantee an A, especially for stricter instructors. Although it is daunting, it is all about overcoming self-doubt and reaching out to instructors for further clarification about tough assignments early in the week. Plan ahead and dedicate enough time for self-study. Stay motivated and don't get discouraged, you can achieve great things with a positive mindset. Ultimately, you need to determine if this independent online learning style is suitable and sustainable for you before enrolling. Regardless of your decision, I wish you the best for your future endeavors!

Hi, the program took about 4-5 weeks for me to complete. Most of the time was spent fulfilling the requirement of 3 Team Success Meetings that were conducted weekly. The only writing I did was for the 3 meeting reports and the questions asked about the two videos (Orientation and Induction). Other than that the speaker broadcasts did not require any writing. Hope this information helped!
