The Animals, We Gotta Get Out of this Place
Thank you so much
You guys sound great! Love this song!
Awesome. Love these guys.
Who's still watching this in 2023? One of the most wholesome videos on TH-cam!
We are!
Rubbish
Wow for me the best act this year and hope you come back as a headliner, we loved you. I've only ever seen a standing ovation like that at Cropredy for fairport and Richard hanky man! We loved you boys don't forget us, I expect Glastonbury will want you but we do too uch natural talent and energy.
So much energy - they had nearly the whole field on their feet - hope they go again!
Loved this. Really enjoyed the Demon Barbers XL but audience participation suffered from the Pierce Brothers getting the whole crowd going in the previous set. Loved their 3 Ravens as well; definitely a new fan here.
I couldn't agree more, I though these guys were so much better than the Pierce Brothers as well!
Thanks for posting this, I was there and really enjoyed it. Do you know what the name of this song is?

Very good Elliott
Does anyone know where I can find the opener Hey Hey My My (Into The Black) from the set, can't seem to find it anywhere, thanks, oh and great vid by the way
excellant peice of nostalgier and so good to see paul up there he is so sadly missed, thank you :)
The players are rehearsing an original composition for concertina band called "Moonlight on Cadgwith" by Claire Wren. The ending was attended to and perfected!
For some reason I googled the band the other day and read the sad news. I had a strange hankering to see the band again.
I remember forming the band with Paul and putting some of the music down. Paul was and always be the inspiration for the freeloaders. Paul asked me to form a band with him after I met him working on a garden. He came to my church and saw me playing guitar. I played some Hendrix at his flat and he bought me a socking great marshall amp, and the rest is history.
the sound is awful. shame.
captain dread at 1.01 lol
@ScaredPiglet You're confused.
A year later and still one of the best gigs of my life.....!
@santnicola When you're seeing a band that was in its heyday 45 years ago, it is the spirit that is important. These guys have that authentic sound, they have the original drummer and a long overlap of fully paid up members. It's no rip-off.
@bluesboypete Yes, tis Pete Barton but I remember him from Swinging Blue Jeans, Cavern, Shout and many Lancashire bands.
This guy was feckin great!!!!!!! wish I had a ticket for this year.......!!!!
Uh......I don't think so...
Thanks all for posting comments. I just played this video through full screen for the first time since around a month after the gig. It took me straight back. I have tickets for next years 40th anniversary!
hah YEAHH!! I'm from Montreal and my friend who was with me is from calgary!! didnt i see you at the tshirt stand the next day too?
I was AT the canadian flag for this!!! I met up with fellow canadians from ottawa who were swinging it. amazing moment.
This is an anthem, man! It's a free concert, man, across the world. Social commentary that rocks the hell out of things... can it get any better?
Good video, this was probably my highlight of Glasto last year. Amazing. Was a few yards to the right of you and got some good photos. See video response if you are interested.
John Steel and a bunch of fatties
Thanks Stan for being there with us. We saw you guys but couldn't make it over, we were about 15 feet from the front, just over by the right. We only met a few canadians there this year, hope to see more next year!
I seen this on Tv , Epic . Nice one putting it up ..
great footage! of neil young!
The flag looks really good with the stage lights shining through it. Next time maybe we'll strap the little camera to your flag pole! What a view that would get!?
that is historical
wish I was here....
well john steele is their
awesome!
Rock is indeed a legend. I don't know what to be more impressed by, Larry's improv or Rock's quick G string change!!
tHIS IS A RIP-OFF BAND........ IT IS NOT THE ANIMALS !!!
The very same Pete Barton can be seen on bass in my band playing "Wall St Shuffle". Clitheroe's favorite son! Put a search for - wall street beatniks - I might post some more L8R.
rock freebase, the legend that is...
Thanks. The gig was hotting up and people took pics- so I took the these shots using the video mode of the girlfriends snappy camera. Using zoom causes mute - so I did the best I could. Three clips to pick from. Bean
Not sure, but he was bloody good.
