Bought back so many memories,born in Ashford and dad worked in works til he retired in 65, remember all of the classes shown but what about the D50XX's that were around in the late 50's?

At 1.25 that train is the LCGB special on 25/2/62 called The Kentish Venturer Rail Tour that was run to commemorate the end of steam traction on the South Eastern Division of BR Southern Region. The loco is a King Arthur Class No 30782- Sir Brian.

Very nostalgic. The C Class 301720 was the only loco that I ran out of steam on. My driver couldn't do any better and we were eventually towed into Hithergreen sidings. That number is engraved on my heart.!!
