Es-son las mismas que las utilizadas en la primera pieza: flautas cons5ruidas por el ucraniano Eugene Ilarionov (modelos renacentistas de flautas de una mano), la larga en el tono de un silbote en Do y la corta en el tonovde un txistu en FA natural. Construidas integramente en madera de frutal (albaricoque)

Because it is a traditional Basque flute with three holes, which is played in Euskal Herria (Navarra and the Basque Country). It has its origin in prehistory, but was perfected in the Middle Ages. It works with harmonics just like a trumpet or a horn, it has 3 pistons, the Txistu has 3 holes. It is that, a flute with three holes, more difficult to play than a recorder. The Txistu is usually in F or F#, and the Silbote (the one in the video, wich is a low txistu) is usually in C or Bb. In this case it is in C. It is a family of transposing instruments, and the Txistu is played with one hand(left hand if you are right handed). Often, with the right hand we play a tamboril. (drum). In Euskal Herria we play this instrument in a traditional way for all kinds of events: parties, dances, weddings, funerals... But also in music schools and in the conservatory, "cultured" music is made: contemporary, classical music... And much more.

I finished the professional degree and now I am studying the superior degree of interpretation of Txistu and composition, and I am delighted with the instrument. There are many positions to make the same notes (F#, D, C#...) each one comes in handy for a different circumstance, and it is important to know these details of the instrument to gain agility and versatility.
