Kayaking from Wirrina to Kangaroo Island E7, paddling past the treacherous cliffs
As I glided across the glassy waters of Kingscote, the warmth of the sun on my skin and the symphony of birdlife in the air, I felt invincible, with every stroke of my paddle helping the children half way across the world at the home of love and dreams orphanage in Uganda.
The tranquil shores of Emu Bay beckoned, and I paddled effortlessly, soaking up the serenity. But the peace was short-lived, as a gust of wind swept my sunglasses off my PFD, plunging me into a squinting, sun-drenched world.
Undeterred, I continued on, the call of the water irresistible. And then, like a miracle, pods of dolphins appeared to make my day even brighter, their sleek bodies gliding effortlessly through the water. I paddled alongside them, awestruck by their grace as the swam around me in search for food.
But as the coastline shifted, the scenery transformed into a dramatic tapestry of giant cliffs and roaring seas. Waves crashed against the rocks, sending plumes of spray high into the air. I kept my distance, respectful of the ocean's fury, knowing that one misstep could be fatal.
After 54 kilometers of paddling, I finally reached the sanctuary of Stokes Bay. Exhausted but exhilarated, I set up camp and slipped into the water for a night snorkel, the stars twinkling above like diamonds scattered across the velvet expanse."

Welcome to Rapid Bay, a tranquil haven on the Fleurieu Peninsula, where the rhythmic lapping of the waves against the shore whispers secrets of the past. For thousands of years, the traditional owners of this land, the Kaurna people, lived in harmony with the sea and the surrounding landscape. Their ancient stories, etched into the rocks and the wind, echo through the ages. In 1836, Colonel Wil...

See all of Bali for under $100. Riding all the way around Bali on a scooter

The initial plan was to ride from Ubud to the west coast of Bali and the goal manifested into going the whole way around instead. Here’s a video so you can see if you’d like to do it too. I went clockwise which was the best way I think because by the time you get back around to the freeway and the craziness of the traffic in the city you get use to the overtaking and will be much more comfortab...

If you give kangaroos some of your BBQ they're much more friendly and actually then they won't leave your side lol
I've found that kangaroos love sausages and kookaburras love steak. Sometimes they will swoop in and scoop it right off the hotplate, yeah their manners leave a lot to be desired lol
I could feel your pain when you walked into the cold brook. By the way, Grey Kangaroos can't speak English, but Red Kangaroos can.
