What does the caligraphy message say - is it Arabic? What kind of wood is it? Clearly quite soft. I have only done one carving, but it was in oak, and oak is really hard. I tried carving it the way you did there, but it needed a hammer and chisle, but even that wasn't enough, so I made a drawing of what I wanted, then from the drawing, I made a Fimo model of it, then I made a copy-carver to copy the Fimo onto the wood, and roughed it that way - then it was lots of hammer and chisle to clean it up. th-cam.com/video/cSjqfU062uU/w-d-xo.html
@@DownhillAllTheWay This is a part of the poem of the persian poet Rumi. I used white walnut.🪵 I suggest you try with walnut wood, walnut wood is one of the best woods for carving.

@@sawdustandsplinters3465 You can make it too. 🤗 Do you mean the drawing plan?
If you can't draw it... Artists can tell when people trace too... Just say'n. It's skill more than it is talent. It's learned and earned. Draw all different types of ovals (skinny end fat end like an egg, evenly sized ends like a shcool running track, pointy end flat end ovals like the head of the turtle, etc.)... draw them over and over untill you can consistently make them perfect, do the same with hexagons, pentagons, and French curves and you'll be able to push out drawings of this design with great ease. With dedication even the most under practiced could learn to do this within a week. it's actually a really really simple design. You know... or trace it, but many who won't say a word, will be able to tell. They may even complement you, but they'll know. if you wanna go that route you can just Google "sea turtle coloring page" find one you like, scale it, print it, trace it, and press transfer that tracing onto the wood....
