A strong album from start to finish. The old Toto formula with a slightly modern twist.

3:55 this is the kind of overpromoted run of the mill sound everyone is trying to escape. the record company forced him to record this.

How did he become a record company head when he made a few good albums that did not become huge hits?

Love Rick!....and LOVE Firefall! He used to come into the Cheesecake Factory in Redondo Beach while I was bartending and sit at the bar for lunch. He was always so sweet and fun to talk to. One of the great bands I grew up on. As for me Strange Way was your best Rick. In fact I'm playing it in the background now.

John I LOVE your reviews.... keep up the GREAT job. This album has not caught my attention like so many of their other ones. I'd like to think its not because I'm a Bobby fan, though I do miss him singing somewhere on the albums.

I love this album so much! It`s on repeat and I can`t get enough of it or get tired of it!!!! As much as I was sceptical I simply can`t believe how great job they have done. I`m going to see them next month, excited already, hugs to all the fans xx

Steve's other son was also a very gifted drummer and keyboardist, he passed away yesterday. Prayers of God's healing presence for Steve & family.

Gotta say though, that Kingdom of Desire with Steve L on lead vocals is one of my favourites - it's sooooo good! How many times, 2 hearts, Only you, Kingdom of desire and many more! (You forgot to mention it😉)

I have to disagree! I am an avid Elton John fan but I'm also an honest fan and this album plain out sucks. there are 2 songs that are somewhat less painless to listen to but as a whole it is disappointing. his singing is monotone in a majority of the cuts...claw hammer is a good example of this and at times sounds like the cowardly lion when singing certain words. it used to be that he would write songs no matter the range now he writes songs around his range and it makes for odd chord progressions...an example would be guilty pleasure. The melodies are super weak and again i atribute this to his voice. This cd might be more interesting as an instrumental album. I just don't find this outting as artistically brilliant and it certainly isn't wonderful. Now as for the Billy Joel comment! I'm not much of a billy Joel fan but I would much rather listen to his 25 songs in concert than to have to listen to wonderful crazy night again . I literally took the cd out of my player, put it in its cd holder and tossed it out the window on the freeway.
