They really took Jeremy Soule's work and transformed it over the years. 💪😎✌️ I've been replaying Skyrim over the last few weeks, and it's been--as always--a great escape from the dismal, janky reality which 99% of us have faced for 30+ years. And ya know what? I only *WISH* my job was helping random people out with their silly little quests and needs on a day to day basis. I mean, in some ways, that's at least a slice of what I used to do. But now... I'm too flunkin' old for that scheisse. 😂🤣😂

The Oblivion version will always be my #1. Morrowind and Skyrim's versions are great, but there's a true sense of adventure in Oblivion's.

played the games in reverse order but in terms of themes and general quality of the games morrowind > oblivion > skyrim, skyrim was good but the other two have much more depth to them both in theme and also in story

I don't think it's a "Morrowind theme". I think they just started to have an Elder Scrolls theme with Morrowind.

In Oblivion, I hear a promise, an oath, and a higher purpose - to protect others, to protect Tamriel from invasion. To be a soldier of the empire, to be with Martin until his last breath. So I often played as the Imperial race.

Morrowind: -"take my hand, friend. Let's go on an adventure." Oblivion: -"No time to explain. Go and don't look back." Skyrim -"Wield your blade, and die in the name of your belief." Just some thoughts that come to me while listening.

Skyrim still had kind of copied from Morrowind theme song. But it is cool in its own right. However my main criticism about the Skyrim theme song is the choir sounded too quiet which it can lead to funny interpretations. Which I am surprised no one had mentioned that issue. Ever since the original release. They had messed up the theme song. There’s nothing wrong with them copy and remake the song. It’s just the minor details they had gotten it wrong.

All 3 are amazing though Morrowind was my first of the ES games, so defs have a soft spot for that.

Today the Elder Scrolls franchise is turning 30 years old. Congratulations, Bethesda, for creating the greatest masterpiece of all time! I don't know what I would do without TES. ❤

When I first heard Dragonborn I was like “aw man I kinda miss that old theme but this is awesome too” and then the old theme came back and it was better than I could have imagined it. Jeremy Soule cooked on that one.

Aside from the games, it's as if they raise the epic-meter with each theme song. Can't wait to hear VI's

Does anyone have a legit explaination as to why our player character can be a Dragonborn in Skyrim? If I remember correctly wasn't it just the septim bloodline that could gain that right. Unless Martin turned Akatosh trolled Alduin? I might be completely out there, my lore knowledge of TES is out of whack due to retcons every entry :(

The Heart Drum of Lorkhan is such a chilling consistency between each piece. He is so silently present in each story in such a major way, The Heart in Morrowind, Chim-el Adabal in Oblivion, and obviously in Skyrim with Shor himself. If there's a "main character" of the elder scrolls its definitely him.
