Making Europe a world leader in online gambling
I'm not sure if you are aware of the significant destruction caused by an unregulated gambling industry, both on an individual level and within society as a whole. Posting this ignorant video suggesting that gambling is a harmless activity is concerning. Perhaps you should consider looking into the situation in Australia, where we have the largest gambling losses in the world, exceeding the next country by 40% with $24.9 billion in the last financial year. This figure does not even include the losses from illegal offshore casinos operating within our borders. Be grateful that you are not subject to the harmful effects of the predatory gambling industry.
Really insightful session thank you

I would be happy to overcome these issues, it is necessary to move away from negative national discrimination, discrimination should not be a point of equilibrium, I call for more focus on the rights of EU citizens themselves, as well as countries that find it difficult to represent their interests, especially citizens of Ukraine. Ideally, to raise the question of their positive (compensatory) discrimination. For example, to review some of the decisions. In terms of specific issues: Is it possible to call on the GG network to answer for multiple violations against its users, especially residents of the EU and Ukraine? Is it possible to launch an investigation of operators that worked under Curaçao licenses (Holland)? Thank you again for this video! I hope the world will be better! Peace and prosperity to you!
In my experience, the main direction of unlawful discrimination is post-Soviet countries, as from the point of view of categorical analysis, there are more "negative" users for casinos from there. In particular, citizens of Ukraine were discriminated against a lot. In general, this is a general trend of discrimination of the local population by government agencies. As a general rule of analysis, all disputes are not fully legal, as the minimum requirements of legislation were not met. In the gambling industry, there is a practice of right nihilism in relation to the rights of customers. Especially for the poor and middle class. Cases less than 10,000 rarely receive media coverage, cases less than 20,000 are usually not profitable due to the complexity of overcoming regulator pressure and the complexity of implementing decisions. cases less than the client's monthly salary, as a rule, the client is not ready to bear the reputational risks. Even in cases when it was possible to clearly fix violations in the gambling sphere, for example, video evidence https ...
Almost every contract with an operator violates the general legal order regarding the relationship between the consumer and the operator. Operators typically abuse their right to limit players: on one hand, they block winning players and have a black list (which contradicts the consumer nature of the consumer's joining to the public contract, public offer), on the other hand, they create "mirrors" of their websites to circumvent restrictions through the creation of websites in the gray legal zone. This directly contradicts the legislation. In most contracts with consumers, there are unacceptable clauses in the style of "in our own discretion, judgement" "we could block, confiscate" especially in relation to material resources. Many casinos have international blacklists which contravenes laws on personal data protection. In general, the presence of large databases of gamblers, led people represents a separate danger, as all such bases sooner or later can be leaked and used for fraud.
Furthermore, it's important to note that the gambling industry is heavily regulated and it is important to understand the laws and regulations in each jurisdiction. It can be difficult for individuals to navigate the legal system and understand their rights as consumers. It would be beneficial for there to be more resources available to educate consumers about their rights and the processes for filing complaints and seeking redress. Additionally, it may be helpful for consumer rights organizations to establish partnerships and collaborations with other groups and organizations in order to strengthen their efforts and amplify their voices. This could include working with other consumer rights groups, as well as with organizations that focus on gambling addiction and problem gambling. In summary, protecting consumer rights in the gambling industry is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach. It's important for consumer rights advocates to continue raising awareness about these issues, working to ensure that the interests of consumers are taken into account by regulators and operators, and establishing partnerships and collaborations with other groups and organizations to strengthen their efforts.
It seems that the issue of consumer rights protection in the gambling industry is a complex one, with various factors at play. It may be the case that regulators in certain jurisdictions prioritize the interests of operators over those of consumers, leading to a lack of response to complaints and grievances. Additionally, the influence of offshore territories may also play a role in this. It is important for consumer rights advocates to continue raising awareness about these issues and working to ensure that the interests of consumers are taken into account by regulators and operators in the gambling industry. It could be that lobbying and raising awareness at a legislative level could help to bring about changes in this area.
I have been involved in protecting the rights of users in the gambling industry for 10 years, mainly on a pro bono basis. I am interested in hearing about the actual work being done in the field of consumer rights protection by professionals. I have communicated with various casinos, operators, regulators, and consumers representing my clients. Consumers mostly see collusion between regulators and operators in order to defend the interests of operators and the pleasure of wealthy users from developed countries. This is probably due to the vector that the legislator has adopted due to the influence of offshore territories. For example, in Curaçao, I have seen zero response to complaints from affected gamblers over the years. I was also very surprised that Curaçao is part of the Netherlands. Why does the regulator of a European Union country not even formally respond to player complaints? Why in general do regulators not take into account the interests of consumers of services?
Thank you very much for this video!
