At 3:56: BOO BOO BOO BOOOOO !!! OUCH !! If 9 had a dollar for every time I have cut myself building a model boat: I would have a thousand dollars. I have become much more careful in my old age. I am building the Krick Models Happy Hunter, and I am nearly finished. I have only cut my finger one time. Sorry about your cut finger. Very nice build.
Thanks for the comment John, I’m familiar with the happy hunter it’s a nice model. I’ve just finished building billing boats smit Rotterdam and I’m currently working on the Scottish maid and the San Juan Nepomuceno. If you don’t cut yourself as a model ship builder then your not doing it right 😂
Nice work shop.
Thanks tony
You, sir, have done a superb job here!
Thanks David
hi, could you tell me what motor and esc set up you have for this model, thanks
There’s a full description in the comments below
Can he go in the water?
Yes, if you scroll through the nordkap TH-cam videos you’ll find a 2 minute video of it sailing …Celtic camper88.
Wow
an epic country
Great job!!!. I wanted to bring mine to the water. m.th-cam.com/video/mkB0V0k8CmA/w-d-xo.html
Lovely work!
good job ! Hi where did you buy this rc boat ?
all good reputable model shops and hobbie stores will stock this kit.
Are you happy with the MFA motor? What reduction gear ratio did you get, and what propelled size/pitch? Thank you! Mark
the MFA motor along with hobbywing QUICRUN 1060 Brushed Waterproof gearbox was perfect for this kit. the pitch is built into the kit but the propeller provided was to small to push the 1lb of lead i used for ballast along with the running gear so i used a bigger prop i had to hand and that worked fine. though i would suggest buying a brass propeller if your thinking of building the nordkap.
Pls share this in the billing boat official builders group on Facebook, im from Billingboats so it's okay
i'm a member of the billing boat official builders group on Facebook, i've been talking with Kenneth Ireland as we're both at the same stage of building the Smit Rotterdam. i'm sure most of the members over there will have already watched this video.
Didn't know there was a Billingboats Official Builders Guild.
Excellent and impressive. You should be very proud, I know I will never make such a fine model
thank you for the kind words Tom and believe me you are VERY capable of building something like this, all it takes is some basic tools a little knowledge of woodworking and a lot of patience.
good job ¡
thank you
Very nice, thumbs up!
thank you
nice one Craig , nice hobby .
thanks Nicolas.
I just picked one up at my local hobby shope and I look forward to the build thanks for this build video though I would have like your step by step
it took me 15 months to build robert so i hope you can appreciate that a step by step youtube video would have been 14 hours rather than 14 minutes. good luck on building your kit.
Can you share the plans? At least for the hull?
i'm afraid that would be copyright infringement but i'm sure if you contact billing boats they would sell you a copy.
