Julie, I'm recommending your videos ( and those of others) to a group of photographers. I am arranging the list by last name and I am having trouble finding your last name.

I want to like Adobe Stock but my experience is that they are far worse than Shutterstock when it comes to inconsistency of selections. I've submitted images that have garnered hundreds of sales on iStock but Adobe Stock says they 'have no commercial value' or are 'out of focus'. It's also frustrating that Adobe Stock doesn't like keywords from Adobe Lightroom. One would think that the company would be wanting to promote the connectivity of their products.

What is the best agency if your photos are taken with an iPhone?

The last time I was really taking photography seriously, I had to load film into the camera, for stock photo's it was Kodachrome 25 or 64. I am finding the technical side a little challenging, but with digital it is so easy to do so much more.

Obvious Shutterstock super hit and miss. Stuff Adobe accepted, but not Shutterstock. Shutter was saying I had a logo as reason for rejection... It was a picture of the Desert in Peru!

Are images uploaded to these sites with the photographer's watermark?? Sorry, I'm new to all this...

The inconsistency in Shutterstock review processes is INFURIATING

Hi, I have very important thing for you about your stock pictures. Please reply me and I will discuss about it.

I sold two photos through Alamy for a payout of $90. They didn't pay me. They "carried over" $66 to the next month, effectively stealing $24 from me. If I'd allowed them to continue, they'd have carried over a lower balance the next month with no payout. That would have put ne below the minimum $50 balance required for a payout. Alamy was trying to avoid paying me. Other photographers are having trouble with the also. And, I can't trust them to make sales they don't report to me. I threatened them, and they paid the $66, but never the $24. So in short, never use Alamy for anything.

Shutterstock always annoys me with similar reasons for rejection, even though the poses and gestures of the model are different, but it's still the same concept. I was forced to make a photo collage by combining several photos, for one collage I can fill five to ten photos, so photos can be accepted even though the portfolio looks not good.

Shutterstock is nearly impossible to deal with. I had a photo rejected for not having a model release, but it was an editorial photo. Shutterstock prohibits releases with editorial photos. Another was rejected for the subject being out of focus. The camera was on a tripod, manually focused under magnification, and the mirror was locked up. I was tack sharp. After a number of these issues I quit Shutterstock. Personally, I sell more with Alamy, but payout is really slow.
