One way to get around triggering the Hi-Hat is to only analyze the kick, snare, and toms. After you've done that, select the rest of the drum group and then separate and conform. The biggest issue I had editing live drums on my last project was cutting off some of the transients, so I had to adjust those, but it worked pretty well otherwise.

Landr has good plugins' you didnt take the time to adjust the other parts of the vocal to give it a good sound

This just goes to show that we should all just trust our own ears when deciding if something is subjectively "better". The UAD version is significantly better to me. Every time the CLA came in, the signal made me feel tense. It's almost like I hear terrible aliasing on the waves plugin. I own both, but I usually always use the 1176 legacy because they removed the THD emulation for clean compression. If you are looking for more THD you can tweak the headroom on the UAD version btw.

Should we use both multiband and trackspacer?

I did a test between Waves 1176 Blue, PA Purple, and Nebula SIGNALTONOIZE stripe 76...they are very close, but Nebula wins!

If you want to use this to master. After mixing in it, do you just leave the limiter turned off and add another instance of the guy particle on the master file track if that makes sense

Yo, you should do a video on wide blue sound silencer it’s the best reverb plug-in because it works with most reverbs. It’s way better because it processes the reverb differently than just straight reverb I use it for my vocals. It’s like the trackspacer version of reverb plug-ins. Silencer plus verb suite is the best combo I’ve found

Man Trackspacer was a game changer for me. I abuse it tho as I tend to make very loud and bassy tracks

hey, I found today doing similar tests that you need to drive the UAD about 12db harder into the plugin to get same results. This is for 12:1 ratio, remember that CLA also adjusts the threshold under the hood when you try other ratios, I will report back here when I know the amounts for the other ratios. This is why you noticed the CLA was loud. After matching them like that I found the UAD sounded the same as CLA but the CLA sounded 'flat' and dull in the high end. But yeah before doing that I also preferred the CLA!

I had to remember how to do this, idk why I'm using the sensitivity to just hit the kicks and snare which are barely off the metronome, and it will pull some hits a full best back from where it was, I can figure out how to fix this lil

I'm struggling to get that depth and "radio ready" sound. I'm balancing frequencies with separating, panning, saturation etc etc. What more is important? Maybe lower the faders more before mastering?
