Talk talk hearing is believing
Yo Everyone in the Audio Community. I discovered a fatal flaw in the Pi8's. Mine were brand new yesterday from John Lewis cost £349.99 and I maxed out the EQ and Volume with Noise Cancelling ON and played this track th-cam.com/video/FJxTm372gmQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=r6q1Zrn0X3cKr1m9 by Mark Spence 2 The Floor. On boths Earbuds ran loud, nasty crackling distortion where the drivers could not handle it or clashed with the Noise Cancelling. I urge you to test this for yourself. You may want to return them fast.

Beautiful speakers,good sound but too much money for Made in China speakers
If I pair the 606 S3 with the Marantz Cinema 50 in stereo mode that's 110W, will that be considered audiophile grade? Or should I get a separate dedicated amp?

the problem with marketing is that it doesn't mean much. if they had a frequency, distortion and dispersion graphs that might convince me it is a decent speaker.
I mean, if you're so interested in these? Why not find some owners and ask them? Go to a store and listen to them? Or are you one of these budget noob audiophiles who think graphs are everything?
@@Audfile graphs are very important to the engineers & audiophiles the problem is we like what we like & despite all others (audiophiles= football fans)
@mohammedsharokhan8097 the whole point. Not every speaker needs to measure the same way. You have to think the engineers know what they are doing and if they have achieved a sound that people *LOVE* despite the measurements, then let it roll. Plenty of flat speakers for the *everything must be perfectly flat for me to enjoy music* crowd. I mean, look at Klipsch Heritage, Cornwall, Horns, etc. They measure like shit, but wealthy audiophiles who have experience, mind you, LOVE THEM.

Quite a few people didn't like the high treble response from the previous S2 version. I've got the 606 S2 & HTM6 S2 running on an NAD 758v3i. With the help of Dirac Live full version. It makes them completely sing
I bought the original DM 603s back in the late 90s. I still use them and they sound good. How would the new 603 S3 compare and would it be worth upgrading?
Hard to say without hearing them but definitely worth a listen back to back if you can. The good think about Bowers is the upgrade each range top down, so that by the time they get to the 600, you get loads of tech from the 700 Series and higher
I hope this fool's gold will sit on the shelves for 4 and a half years, then get returned for recycling and all because of the fraudulent bloatiing of prices for so called hi-end audio. FOR SHAME!

Enjoyed my 606 S2 but the treble was too bright, nuances aside would you say the 606 S3 has more bass capability?

I had the previous pair for about a month, eventually they had to go. Got a pair of Revels, they are very very good.
