Was it Clickhaze or Eivor solo (with band) I've noticed this guy with hat on guitar before... I'm playing a fool, I think this song was from Eivor's second album - but it sounds like Clickhaze...😀🤟
The song is from her second album, Krakan. The guitarist with the hat is Benjamin Petersen of The Faroe Islands. He's not listed as being with Clickhaze on their EP album...he would have been a bit too young for that. He is on quite a bit of Eivor's work in the 2007 general timeframe. Quite the guitarist and showman. Love this version of the song by the way...tremendous energy and superb vocals.
Thought you might also like this video of Eivor, Benjamin and Maria singing a beautiful rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne". th-cam.com/video/mhxgkQOV2JA/w-d-xo.html
Wiecie co? Lata mijają, a serce nadal drży, gdy tylko Eivor śpiewa
Eivor is just amazing!
Exquisite
a song beyond words, beautiful, gorgeous sound, gorgeous melody, you look so beautiful, i love your dress, i love you Eivor so much, i thank you for your gift to the world, a lament, least there be doubt let the world know that in grief the sun is ever greeting and i wish to add, let the tears flow for in the flowing the sun is ever radiant in Love !
True treasure!

megunhatatlan!!!
she is great! where is she from?
She's from Faroe Islands, but she's singing in Icelandic.
Primorous Excelent :D
Strangely reminiscent of Leonard Cohen's "Dance me to the end of love". Maybe he was inspired by this beautiful song?
This song is from the 1950s I think, surely much older than Cohen's song. Both good songs though.
***** That's the way I meant it - maybe Cohen was inspired by this one.
QuorkQTar Just few notes here that I can find similar to the song mentioned.
Saw that Jon Gentry talked about someone not qualifying to comment here due to there lack of knowledge. Couldn't reply to him directly but I am doing it here. I just had to! Iceland wasn't sold to Denmark from Norway in 1262. That's the end of the Icelandic civil war where big viking families fought against each other for power in Iceland but one family saw that they could have more power than any other if they would team up with the Norwegian king. Which they did and they won which made Icelanders sign up on "Gamli Sáttmáli" or "Old Covenant" which meant that Iceland went under the Norwegian king. It was called a "union" but it wasn't although Alþingi (the Icelandic Parliament) was still working. That was in 1262 and is probably the darkest time in Icelandic history. Iceland then was in a union called the Kalmar Union which was a union between all of the nordic countries. After the collapse of the union Iceland was in a union with Denmark and Norway. When that union also split up Iceland went under the Danish king in 1814 and then the Icelandic independence movements started growing and Icelandic hatred over danes started growing. Which eventually led to Icelandic sovereignty in 1918 and complete independence in 1944 and the forming of the republic. That's the facts.

Thank you sir.
This song is an Icelandic song named Frostrosir by Freymodur Johannsson (1895 - 1973). It was very popular about 1950-1960. Here Eivor Pálsdottir syngs it in her amazing way. The Icelandic Symphony orchestra is playing. Eivor is from Faroe islands. I think she is one of the best in the world.
thank you.
nine years after your comment she has become even greater. she IS the best in the world!
Ascension
Not certain, since I don't speak Faroese, but it sounds like "Trøllabundin".
What is the title of this song? The change in vocal register at 4 min 42 is impressive.
"Mín mođir " is the title and i think it means "My mother"
I think age has us focused the same sound with a different meaning. Listen long enough and you will have arrived in the higher sense.
I shall resist the temptation to say that I, too, feel a certain tingling in my jeans.
grow up!
Hvem er det der står til venstre ! Eivør du er den bedste, giv nogle af de ferme friske sangere en chance. fandens sejt lort der :) og så lidt : )--

Lovely voice. Reminds me of Sarah Brightman...
@charlieRicketts AMEN! I adore her as well, but we're stuck in the States :/ Oh well, it's an excuse to travel!
I absolutely love Eivor. It REALLY sucks living in america, cause I can't come to her concerts!!
I would get the F out of there before something bad happens. That voice is scary! :)
Dásamlegt
i dig her:)
Amazing
This doesn't suck at all.
There are very few songs and singers that I believe could sound great in a recording which has been worked upon as well as in a live performance. I believe I have just found another of these singers. I however don't really feel anything for the song, nothing special to me. But again the two thins that make the performance great is the orchestra as well as Eivor.
Its hard to comprehend she can actually sound like that! Its amazing! I've never heard any other artist use their voice in such a skilled manner! 0:00 Again, again!
heavenly!:O)))
does anyone know where I can get these lyrics? I would really appreciate the help
