Almost Christmas (as of the date I posted this comment) but this could be a good product worth buying.
1940 you could put your finger in the fan,stupid should hurt . Alll in all wonderful fan is there a choice in color ? Red would look awesome it looks like a shaded pole motor so you can oil them up
It also comes in white, and there is a version that is black with gold, called “Alchemy.” No red though. Because these fans are metal, if you were so inclined you could have the fan sand blasted and powder coated red, it would be unique for sure!

Thank you for this video. I was on the fence about getting a Vornado, but after watching your video, I ordered one. I bought the VFan even though it is for a small bedroom. Mainly getting it to move air around and provide white noise while sleeping. I think the 3-speed version will be better for this than the 2-speed of the smaller models.
*Vornado definitely makes a great fan **Fastly.Cool** . We had the older model that was larger and which we liked more, but we are still quite pleased with this product. Recommended!*
I agree with this statement, but personally this *IS* an old model; well actually an official reproduction of the vintage fans.
How do you clean the blades
I remove the front guard and then use ultra-soft detailing brushes (you can look these up on Amazon) and a vacuum. These brushes are used to clean delicate components in cars, so they won’t leave any scratches on the fan blades. You loosen up the dust on the blades with the detailing brushes and use the vacuum to pick up the dust. Never touch the blades with the vacuum, only use the brush.

Seems vornado really makes good quality fans…I just got the Vornado 133 and It is very impressive.
Is the blade metal?
No the blade is plastic, but it’s good quality and durable. I can see why they went with plastic; the fan is a modern re-issue of the classic Vornado fans of the 1940s and 1950s, and at that time even though most fans had metal blades, Vornado blades were mostly made of Bakelite - an earlier form of plastic.

I have 2 of the original ones. One is from 1951 and one is from I believe 1955. The older one is in the bedroom and is used every night.

hi, it is april 2021 and i am literally looking this fan up because i instantly wanted it on amazon. i cannot telll you how much i appreciate this video!! i really wanted a nice desk fan in my office. so tired of all the plastic fans i go through every year, if i add it all up, it is like 6 of these VFans. i love love the color, it reminds me of a jade. i can’t wait to receive mine on saturday. this video was SO WELL DONE and so well edited. i wish you gain followers and subscribers. <3 i suffer from tinnitus so i love listening to a fan go to distract from the ringing in my ears. i hope this fan lasts me years and years to come! you’ve got a subscriber out of me!!

I've watched this video about a hundred times. The unboxing sounds and Santa's voice are very soothing and are ASMR triggering for me. I also had no idea that Santa was actually Schwarzenegger.

As much as i am weirded out that youve seen an unboxing video a hundred times, i'd have to agree about the Schwarzenaeggar/Santa combo comparison.

Ik I'm late 😂. They are designed in Kansas, but made in china. There are some models that are made in the USA labeled as "made in the USA" but cost more of course.
Are the blades metal too?
No it’s a single piece plastic component with 5 blades. It’s solidly built though. This same piece on many of the original Vornados from the 1940s and 1950s was not metal either, but made of bakelite (an early form of plastic) with only 3 blades.
I used to have a vornado. I miss it so much, that thing lasted for over a decade before I broke it. Everything down to the sound they make is great
@@AmNotaScrub the motor just stopped working and I tripped over it a lot since I have really poor vision in darkness. The stand broke and it just wasn’t the same after

In Brazil in the 60's similar fan was sold under the brand Arno.
Yes I am familiar with it, an extremely popular fan in South America. I have tried to find one but cannot, even on eBay.

Kind of sad in a way that we're so conditioned to expect cheap crummy plasticky consumer goods and we're so impressed when a product is made of " Real " metal. Anyway, the missus is more sensitive to cold than I am, so I keep our central A/C set a little to the warmer side for her, but I have this exact fan pointed at me set on low and it keeps me cool and comfortable and is very quiet..... and yeah, I'm impressed by the sturdy " built to last " all metal construction, to hell with plastic. It's good looking fan, it's quiet and so far reliable so I'd recommend it.
Great comment thank you. Plastic slowly began to become part of electric fans in the 1960s as a cost saving element until eventually becoming the the main component. Fans went from solidly made ultra-durable appliances designed to last decades at their height in the 1930s & 1940s to the cheap disposable units of recent times. The Vfan brings back some of the elements that made classic fans so special and as you said, it’s a solid device.
A man with a very recognizable voice makes an amazing review that is awesome and fun to watch...and disappears. Get to the choppa!

Is it smooth motor and cool off hot air???
The motor is very smooth indeed. Yes, this fan will help keep you cooler in hot weather, but it’s not an air conditioner so it won’t actually cool the air.
