How to build a wood fired oven from refractory mortar not bricks (much easier and faster!)
This video is a little long because of the sandstone base, but you can skip and go to the section where we show you how to build the actual oven at about the 9 minute mark.

      @@talldarkandhandyandy5493 Nope. The interior structure is brick! The exterior is finished with stone sure.. But that's not at all the same as a "not brick" oven when it still is depending on bricks. Decent video, the title is just not as advertised

    How or did you remove the polystyrene from inside the pizza oven? Did the bricks and sand stay put when you did?

    • @talldarkandhandyandy5493
      @talldarkandhandyandy5493 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Removing the polystyrene boxes was quite simple, just breaking small bits at a time and then the sand and bick all fell in slowly and i removed them bit by bit then swept out all the sand with a small dustpan broom...

Did your pre-mix refractory contain perlite? A diy recipe I've come across is - 1.5 parts Portland cement + 2 parts Perlite + 2 parts silica sand + 2 parts fire clay + stainless steel needles.
