Really don't need the background music to make it more palatable !
APPRECIATE YOU FAMM TRAIN 🚆
Maybe Mr Kureishi is working on some great philosophical novel, I wish him all the best. I hope to meet him one day ❤
I cried remembering how this man's My Beautiful Laundrette affected me .Then Sammi and Rosie Get Laid . In December 2023 he fell and is now a quadraplegic . Now Im sniffling. All my heroes are dead ,dying or falling ill and I'm only 59 just turned 59. Being gay doesn't help working out just means you're the old dude withe muscle . Wort is my own fear and ideas about old age : that is what i must cure myself .
I've just started "A Kind of Spark." Its grasp of compassion, bigotry, empathy and confusion, told through a lens of misunderstood inhibition, is highly readable and emotive. At school, I was unable to grasp instruction. Scared of being berated for not listening, I stopped asking for help. Teachers seemed to think I was just lazy and uncooperative. At twenty-one, I learned I have Asperger's syndrome. Miss Murphy's ignorance of Addie's motor skill-impaired handwriting, and ripping up of her story, emphasises the destructiveness of compulsory school. I seriously think legally forcing children into the custody of strangers, who may berate those unable to perform, should be abolished. Instead, we could have, for ages four to twelve, day centres filled with books, computers, television monitors and sports gear. For ages thirteen to eighteen, optional colleges could teach academia and practical skills.
Highly unique interview by a unique individual. And from what an early age!
He’s a truly incredible writer. A unique voice. Spare style. And occasionally sets off a bomb in a paragraph like nobody else. For me, the best writer of my lifetime.
I love you Elle!! Carry on!!💖
No music please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I turned off the sound at times because "the music" is so ridiculous ...
Beautifully done!. As a songwriter, I related to this so much.... tuned in to every word, so much so that I expected the last word to be "Writers" rather than "Winners". 👊
I should study this man's works.
Start with "The Buddha of Suburbia", a great read.
@@Richardwestwood-dp5wrthank you
I love his writing ..currently reading his novel 'The Black Album'..
... thank you, love it if my son would start writing again, this might help :)
Great hanif. Excellent interview.
Beautiful words from an honest liar.
Why do you say that?
It was a hugely informative conference. The session on global digital experiences was fascinating and gives much food for thought marc nash
