Knowing that there will always be terrible players in ALL elos has helped me cope with my terrible teammates in iron and bronze. I feel your frustration about wards. I legit had a top lane who warded my red buff when I was starting red buff, or I have people ward blue (opposite side) at 30 seconds when we're all guarding jungle entrances. It's the most useless ward ever coz it'll despawn before the timing that the enemy jungle has to invade. They need to ward at 1min 15 then move to their lane. That annoys me so much as well as people standing under tower their tower when the enemy has a good level 1 invade. "Just stand in the entrances and back off when you see them" UGGGHHH!
