We’d love to share with you moments of this memorable trip to Bodhgaya with an unforgettable encounter of H.H. Karmapa who granted us his precious time and blessings.
Bodhgaya is the place where the Buddha spent much of his life and the whole area is surrounded by famous sites such as the Vulture Peak Mountain in Rajgir or the place where he met Sujata who offered him a bowl of sweet rice. These were the places we visited on day trips.
Bodhgaya itself has beautiful temples from all Buddhist countries and lineages, and visiting these expressions of Buddhist art is a pilgrimage in itself.
The Kagyu Monlam under the Bodhi Tree, with thousands of participants, is certainly the greatest place to offer one’s wishing prayers and meet the Sangha and old friends from all over the world.
It was an unforgettable journey for our students. Thank you Karmapa, lineage holders and supporters for making the Kagyu Monlam possible!
