You are very brave and thanx for this vid. Everything informing I try to find about DMT is quite negative, and i'm still scared to take it. I have done mushrooms, but I did not really feel anything. I tried LSD multiple times and it's the most fun and 'homey-feeling' with drugs I have ever experienced

I remember the first time i smoked dmt. It was a small dose. The ceiling texture turned into a moving web that pulsated in and out. It was like an orange blanket. It started to fade away and I thought it was over, than I put my face into my pillow and fell into complex paterns moving really fast. The cool part was zooming in. The patters broke into thousands of smaller pieces and zoomed in. I was thinking "this is cool, but not realistic" and right as that thought ended, my visual field was filled with a textured leather material that moved like liquid and looked so real. I laughed out loud for about 20 seconds uncontrollably.

I remember when I took shrooms for the 3rd the time and in the start of the trip I thought to myself "well, I"m not really feeling it, maybe this time it won't be that powerful trip like last times". And boy, how wrong I was, the next thing I remember seeing was some type of wheel spinning around in the middle of some Axis/line thing, with that liquid visual, all blue and for some reason that made me cry, and I was emotional for the rest of the trip xD. No doubt I'll finally try DMT soon

I agree - although it seems all companies are feeling an inherent pressure to incorporate these AI technologies into their products and operations - with OpenAI as a market leader and easy integration it happens. However, it is great to see more competitors both private and open-source emerge! As the technology becomes less arcane, teams will be building their own with frameworks - maybe similar to WordPress and the democratization of website building. Hope all is well with you 😊

-★_ I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as faith and patience. We should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, it will be the cause of so much destruction like never seen before, it will deceive many and take many captive in order to enslave them into worshipping it and abiding in lawlessness. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is taken from the book of John 5:31-44, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. Let us watch and pray... God bless you as you share this message to others.

The goal right now is to try to make as much money as possible with each new iteration until jobs are no longer a thing really. The world is going to get really weird really quickly. A year from now, information you learned last week ago or even yesterday will be completely obsolete

      @tylerbryden 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

I agree with this assessment and am basically pursuing this myself. What percentage of the population feels this same way? As some jobs fade (and other ones don't emerge) do you think money has less, the same or more value? Do you believe a form of UBI will be implemented? And what is your belief on this timeline of this all? Really appreciate you checking out the video and contributing!! Hope you have an awesome rest of your day.

@@tylerbryden if I was a software developer I’d be pretty worried about my job. Anyone involved in logistics in anyway should be worried. Even creative pursuits kind of seem like they won’t be necessary in 10 years when people can just tell the computer what kind of movie they want to watch and who they want in it and it will just start a movie and have all the work already done. I don’t think that’s totally unreasonable. UBI will be necessary but I just can’t really see anything that won’t be able to be done by just a few people. Farming is already done by satellite. Now you could have a drone go take soil samples all over the farm and know exactly what fertilizer to put where and what crops to grow that season, ideal time to plant, watering will be automated. I can even see stores turning into a place where you put what you want into a website and when you show up a machine has everything you want there and ready. We’ll see how greedy corporations get, which is always max profit. I think when AGI hits, and that’s looking sooner everyday, people aren’t gonna know what hit them. It’s hard to imagine something more intelligent than you that never needs to sleep eat or take a break while running billions of iterations of itself. I mean even science can be handled by an agi. I don’t know what happens to education too. What’s the point of reading and learning a profession when the computer can just do it for you? I mean studying math at this point seems pointless with mathmatica and wolfram able to do quantum field theory calculations in seconds. Any theoretical field like chemistry has ai tools. All I know is shits gonna get weird. Hopefully weapon systems steer clear df agi but we know that won’t happen. So, just sit back and relax while the general public still yell at each other over minor political differences. Yea it's definiftely an incredible dominating force. Had a conversation yesterday with a friend who was saying they also control the supply of chips required for machine learning and Nividia is basically a kingmaker allocating where that hardware goes which is super interesting. I do still think we will see some major competition here: Amazon is apparently training a trillion parameter model and Microsoft just banned ChatGPT for employees - I also see these companies and capital funds deploying money and that money needs to go somewhere into early stage companies meaning there is a incentive to disrupt these incumbents and OpenAi/Anthropic etc. Really appreciate you checking out the video and contributing. Have an excellent rest of your day!

It may be tongue in cheek but it's true. This AI wave is at the most 2 years old, imagine how it's going to be in 5 - 10 years.

I guess the question is does one (OpenAI) or a few (OpenAi, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Anthropic etc) control all of this within 5 to 10 years or is it a distributed technology with many competitors across all sectors? Seeing both the valuable continued pushing of open source that enables other companies besides incumbents and the monopolization of talent and capital along with this negative type of messaging to seemingly dissuade them. In general, most companies don't have the talent or capital required to build and implement this themselves meaning if they want to incorporate the technology (which seems almost everyone does or will) then all they can do is integrate and inherit the innovations of the companies that have the talent and capital.

Lol! I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. I do think there are some great companies out there in the space if you are interested whether more established startups like Anthropic, incumbents like Microsoft, or batches of startups that are funded or will be funded. Saw that Craft Ventures and IBM announced AI venture funds who will be responsible for investing that capital so there will be other opportunities emerging. Hope whatever it is you land in a great spot. Thanks for checking out the video and commenting. Have an awesome rest of your day!

I think that, this time around, some of this messaging might be *slightly* warranted. The logic of marketplaces/capitalism seems to be doomed to collide with some form of generalizable AI that will not only impact knowledge workers, but vast swaths of people globally who have been "agents" of these engines of capital. That's definitely why Sam talks about UBI -- because if the tech unfolds as quickly as it has and makes probable leaps, then you're going to have significant destruction of labor without being able to replace it. The basic logic/loop of most modern companies is: Raise funds > hire employees > develop product > market product > sell product > profit > return profit to shareholders > repeat If we accept profit as the core function of this loop, then labor is its most expensive and limiting factor. If the labor can be done at 75 percent or less than today, then the profit is exponentially increased for vested interests. That begs the question -- how does the average white collar person, even those with fairly deep tech knowledge, derive any living value without already owning shares? How do they add value to the chain to receive value if the labor is now handled by something faster/better than them? To me, this has to be something that humanity looks at seriously as it's not all bad (to me) in the final equation. It just means our lives may be different in the next century or so. I'd much rather have humans focusing on helping one another and fixing their systems on the ground than make another company or do work that isn't needed. I already feel that Capitalism has many business ventures that don't need to exist but exist merely because capitalism demands you become part of the marketplace or become essentially worthless. We need more nurses, more caretakers, more people raising families or educating and keeping their communities well. And, of course, there will always be room for new innovations in different fields, not to mention the potentiality this unlocks in research, production, etc.

Amazing comment and insights! Appreciate you checking out the video and sharing. The logic here all makes sense. Agree that the future looks very different and wonder what percentage of people accept that and adapt versus fight to preserve the status quo. Generally, when backed into a corner people and animals fight and this is both a philosophically and perhaps life-quality threat that will be taken seriously. Also, I agree there are many business ventures that do not need to exist (we've seen the buckling of some of these with rising interest rates). You question about value creation through owning shares but it is generally accepted that shares are a lottery ticket and many people who are equity holders in startups right now may find those shares worthless as the world changes. Writing this out, I reflect and question if I am correct at all or just regurgitating thought pieces I've seen from others. Lots to think about here - thanks again for the stimulating contribution!!

@@tylerbryden And thanks for the video highlighting this issue! I'm also always trying to collate new information, especially from folk in the scene or who have experience with these technologies. I'm more on the creative side of things, but even that's very affected! I hope most of us just try and adapt. I'm of the mind that it's OK if some things fall away as long as we can improve in other ways. :)

There is a huge societal cost to this which almost no one is talking about [yet]. When we realize that, it will be too late. Same thing happened with social media, Amazon and a few other breakthroughs.

    • @tylerbryden

I agree with you. I think it's interesting that many people made a bet on technology skills predicting that would be the most promising beneficial future without realizing we were basically creating the training data to replace ourselves. In the past, it's been a lot of blue collar jobs replaced through automation. As jobs of "highly educated" people get more and more threatened I believe a more existential crisis will emerge and we will see lobbying to slow progress or introduce some form of UBI. I'm unsure when this will take place or if this trajectory can be changed. What do you think? Appreciate you checking out the video and contributing. Hope you have an awesome day.

Why many people and companies just do not give up? There are other needs except running everything in the cloud that is moderated, controlled, analysed and regulated by one company and one government. There is still place for number ones in other countries. There is still place for number ones for private secure usage. There is still place for open source. Security policies in too many countries and companies require a lot more products on the market. And they got money. Much more money then you probably think. There is also a way of looking at OpenAI as a proof of concept. Many things will get commoditised. AI and multimodal LLM development also.

Definitely agree! Not sure if you watched the video but I basically argued we shouldn't give up and that this messaging come from observers, certain people and investors is harmful for humanity. Not every company needs to be a unicorn and there are a lot of negatives that come with that desire and outcome. I like to think of Salesforce and the incredible economy that has been built around that offering. Also, super excited about the capabilities of multimodal LLMS which will open up an even deeper frontier. Really appreciate the comment! Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

Well, it’s a question of time that chatGPTplus can do way more. From a dev perspective: OpenAI got “inspired” by devs who paid for API access and now OpenAI builds on (steals from?) it. It’s not fun to have a product which got obsolete, 2 months after finishing the product. Well, sooner or later, all wishes will come true for only the plus plan… Strange! But hey, we simply can stop to use it. Can we?
