Was in my local mall the other day, and it is dead. Half the stores have closed, there was barely anyone there, and it felt like a certain point in time has completely passed. Herbergers, JC Penny, Footlocker, Sears, The jewelers, the pizza place are all gone. The only people there were old folks who just walk up and down the wings for exercise. There were a couple of 80’s songs that played as I walked from one end to the other, to use the restroom, and they just echoed through the mall. It made me think of these TH-cam videos and I was overcome with a sense of melancholy mixed with nostalgia. I was born in 95, but holy cow does it feel like we have lost something, even since I was a kid/teenager

The concept of backrooms is hard to explain to people, but if you get it, it's a fantastic thing
