🥰🥰🥰 thank you for love and support
is that a gun made of gold?
2:02 that guy tried to too to me but I reported him
recently a friend on steam sent me a "free gift card" legitimate-looking site thinking it was real. i thought he got hacked but his account was fine. im just making a comment to boost the algorithm
Never press the ulr links
Oh hey i got this one recently
I've got scam message with this item workshop link too, but i'm checked the link, and it was different from original Steam workshop link. Always check web links before click.
just remember this one easy trick: immediately ignore the friend request and block the user if they aren't a friend of a friend or someone you were talking to in-game very recently. people don't randomly friend request you. also make sure you block them because they'll change their name and come back later again with a new trick.
lol so funny!
I sent a pic of me voting on the actual workshop and the person just blocked me after lol
I see this scam kept evolving each time. Thank you for bringing this to light
Well that’s a new one to me, I’m more familiar with the “accidental report” and the “comp team” scams
thank you for warning the tf2 community
If anyone ever sends you a link, always take that somewhere like urlvoid or virustotal to double check it, especially if you have even the slightest hint someone might be trying to scam you. Worst case you waste about 15 seconds checking a safe website, best case you save yourself from getting your account stolen
NEVER CLICK ANY LINKS THEY SEND YOU! Better safe than sorry.
right after one of my new friends sent me this link, I decided to check it out. After going to the Steam workshop, I voted for the real item. After a while, the same friend sent me the same link, with the same text. After that, I immediately came across this video. I have to thank you, because if it wasn't for you, then maybe my account would no longer exist :)
Типичный вторник.
Oh hey I saw this scam too
I've got the same scam website that you've got, I didn't click the link as I was researching is the submission was real or not. hope that not many people fall for these scams.
Me too got that from a "friend" but instead it's CS:GO team voting
99% of random friend invites nowadays are scammers. I simply never accept anyone unless it's someone I recognize.
commenting to boost this up
thanks man. this is one of the reasons why i don't accept random people on steam, and also why i barely ever message anyone
Never click links from people you do not know. Including and especially on a phone.
I got given a link by someone to vote for a cosmetic as well, I already knew it was fish cause the link was the first thing I saw, but confronting the person before blocking them was amazing
its darvin's law at this point
remember to check their profile picture and their stats cause it make no sense that they had long hrs tf2 playtime and no individual class playtime no healing/dmg/destroyed buildings
It's really funny because this happened to me and I figured out and then just liked the original one
Wtf I didn't even know this was a thing or even possible but this is scary to see, this is why you stay logged in and probably check the url.
i wish i could see this video 2 mouths ago when i actually signed in on the webside and 2 russians stole my password
People in 2010: We will have autonomous cars in 2024. 2024: We have TF2 scams.
I almost got scammed recently, but thankfully I checked the website url. But what really made me fall for it at first glance was the fact that the individual who sent me the scam was someone I was friends with on steam for almost 3 years. We even chatted and played a few matches of tf2 before. I unfriended them ever since.
I love men
@@singularity3648 I do too
So you looked to this for so long and so many times but you missed the obvious that you clicked on a link that looks nothing like anything Valve would do for a Steam link? lol
At this point I just never accept some random friend request If I am certain it’s a scammer, I block them
Clicking random urls from random adds is indescribably asking for trouble
that "gladys" guy once sent me a friend request. all of it seemed fine until in profile comments, a user pointed out that the rifle sketch shown is old stolen artwork.
Lol 1st time I see the awards being useful for once
Dodged a bullet there I kinda like the engineer with a colt army
So my guess is that they scam this to hijacked to your account. Now I know why my account got hijacked on the August. These Chinese/Russians are getting smarter. They target TF2 items to bait TF2 community to fall for it. Such a scum.
I was sleepy enough to have made the mistake of logging in on one of these pages. Luckily I quickly realized and changed all my login info right afterwards.
i found it funny that my wifi did not give me a phishing alert for this website, but then it tells me that one of my steam games is malware
Who in their right mind would make a fake _steam workshop_ page of all things??? That is so oddly specific...
If you're signed in on steam via browser it'll crossover to the next tab you open if its also steam Unless, it wasn't steam... And it was a fake steam browser with a bogus URL
Holy shit that's scary, how low some people are
One time my dumbass accepted a scam bot’s “50$ Gift Card” and I got my account taken over but a day later and I got my account back due to steam’s wonderful customer support.
the url 😂
Always ALWAYS double check URLs. if you are asked to "vote" for something, whether it's a workshop item, competitive team logo, Highlander team, etc. by someone on your friends list who you never have spoken to or are on talking terms, it is a scam and they had their account invaded by the scammer. Trust your gut, and I'm glad you avoided it last second. Stuff like this is always super slick and always do your research. I'd report the account who sent this to you as hacked or is impersonating someone and Valve should take care of it.
