De "dempers"😁 komen uit het programma van XS-specialist Jerry vd Heiden in Amersfoort. Ik denk, dat de oorzaak van het geluid, in de conische form van de uitlaat te vinden is. Eerder had ik smalle (straight) dempers. Die maaken een blikken geluid. Beetje vergelijkbaar met een geluidsinstallatie zonder een volumineuse box met bass. Dit model demper is de "Muffler Café racer matt black". Ook in Chrom. Ik heb zwart voor het contrast gekozen.

That is such a gorgeous looking bike with such fine detailing and finish its clear you must know the bike very well yourself. Your video has inspired me to restore my own 79 special XS650
thanks for that! My english is not very good, but ik can tell you: not been ridden since 1989 (when I bought my Harley LowRider Fxrs). Fuel tank second hand. new paint job (original burgundy red). electronic ignition. 36000 km. Keihin PWK 32 carburetors. rides nice. Greets

Awesome. I'd have gone with chrome mufflers though and come up with better side plates rather than zip ties !

The peashooter style mufflers are ugly in gray, but they really sound good !
I’ve always wondered if you can make a different seat for it , I love the look of the regular 650, but the seat is super bulky
I agree. Meanwhile i've installed a cafe style seat (part no 68-247SP) from Heiden Tuning in Holland (i ride in Europe) with a short rear fender
