Choy Li Fut has many strikes from Muay Thai. Too bad people don't know this and assume that kung-fu does not work and that Sanda stole its striking from Muay Thai. More people need to see this video.

Nice drill guys please post some more videos. Choy Lee Fut is a very effective fighting system from Southern China. The punches come from so many angles the attacker does not stand a chance in a real life situation.

Boxing more powerful? CLF hand techniques = boxing. They're the SAME techniques! Everything that makes boxing powerful is right there in CLF as well plus a whole lot more: palm strikes, hammer fists, claws, kicks, grappling, chokes, breaks, conditioning of bones in forearms and shins for striking, weapons, lots of weapons, etc., all wrapped up in a nice cohesive package that is intuitive to learn and apply. Not knocking boxing, it is good training. Just know its ultimately the fighter that makes the power, not the style. If you think boxing is more powerful because its boxing, then you probably think your turbo sticker on the back of your car makes more HP too. Just labels people. Shut up and train.

I will give boxing credit that it does have some powerful punches,But how can anyone say that CLF doesn't have powerful punches or the practitioner doesn't know how to generate the power necessary to make CLF powerful.What base are you drawing your statement on and Have you ever fought any CLF fighters and how many have you fought to make such a bold statement?Most people who say things like that never ever touched hands with a CLF fighter and basically talking from Ego and not experience.

Nobody hits harder than boxers......nobody.

What is obvious is that you don't know what you are talking about ... CLF has all the same punches as boxing jeff, so the efficiency of said techniques will be VERY similar, if not exactly the same. What is your experience with CLF? Anything other than youtube?

Demos like this give real street kung fu a bad name.

This is not San Soo or "circular kung fu". There are over 3000 styles of kung fu, some are circular, some are linear, some are both. There is so much variety within the kung fu world but also sometimes even within one style, as is the case with Choy Lee Fut. CLF has many circular strikes, yet its generally built on a linear framework. Looks can be deceiving my friend, peace!

Been a student of Kung Fu San Soo for over 16 yrs (probably 16 yrs. longer than anything you've studied) so go back to watching Bruce Lee movies and live through them.....a critic you're not.
