Question for the team: What advice were you given, heard, or read that resonated with you that changed a path you were on or affected a major decision you made?
Great discussion, really thought-provoking. I appreciated how you broke down the recent election and tackled solutions to democratic disputes. While letting the majority decide seems logical, as Josh indicated, history shows that approach isn’t foolproof, using slavery as an example. There’s also the deeper layer of good vs. evil, God vs. Satan. People are influenced by those forces, and their beliefs and how strongly they’re affected by them shape their decisions, more so for people who have a strong belief in their faith.
Thanks for the great episode. The discussion about Jesus being both the mitigator and cure for our sins was spot-on for 31 Oct. Josh made a good point about how everyone, no matter their skill set, has a unique role in sharing Jesus’s message. I loved the idea of STEM folks being missionaries, which is a refreshing take that shows how science and faith can work together. It’s not often you hear about how technical skills and analytical thinking can contribute to sharing the gospel, especially with the genealogy aspect Josh is so knowledgeable about. I also find it interesting how Destry and Josh have very different skill sets. Destry focuses on people, particularly those with special needs. Josh’s analytical and an expert on structural engineering. However, your friendship and faith allow you to use your interests and talents to spread the gospel in your own unique ways.
Interesting that one of Josh’s favorite movies is the Back to the Future series because it involves time travel. Question for Josh: Have you read the 3-book collection from Ingersoll Lockwood? It’s a total of 338 pages for all 3 from Ingersoll Lockwood: 1. Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulger 2. Baron Trumps Marvellous Underground Journey 3. 1900 Or The Last President
An inspiring episode! I love how you highlighted that God doesn’t look for the most gifted, but the most available. It’s a powerful reminder that we all have unique spiritual gifts to offer, and it’s our willingness to serve that truly matters. Thank you for this encouraging message!
Question - If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be, and if it’s meaningful, which specific day in their life would you choose and why?
Thank you for the insightful explanation on who is Melchizedek. Josh’s thoughtful analysis really helped provide a deep understanding of Melchizedek’s unique role as both prophet and king. I appreciate the clarity and depth Josh brought to such a fascinating and mysterious person. Also, glad Destry didn’t get terribly hurt recently falling off his bike.
Question for the podcast: Who is Melchizedek, and what should we know about his lineage, such as family and background?
Just listened to this episode on Joseph and his superpower of forgiveness -absolutely loved it! Josh brought the story to life with fresh insights and a perfect sprinkle of humor with Destry’s help. Keep up the great work! ❤
Wonderful insight into the linages from Abraham to the New Testament and Joseph’s patience to trust God. In summary, don’t take matters into your own hands, wait for God’s perfect timing and plan or there will be a repercussion that could last for generations.
Here’s a question for each of you: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Enjoyed the podcast listening about yourselves and the little known story of Juda. Here’s another question-What’s a hobby or skill you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t made time for yet?
Sorry about the audio, guys. We're trying to sort that all out.
I always look forward to when a new episode posts. My only complaint is the episodes are not long enough, but I understand you have lives outside of this podcast. Regarding podcasts, here’s my first question. If you could invite any two guests, living or dead, to join you on an episode, who would they be and why?
Wow, my ability to run the camera switcher leaves much to be desired. 🤣
