I learned a valuable lesson on that cruise. My wife and I always fly out the day before are cruise’s after almost missing our first cruise. We were very fortunate. The Joy is my favorite ship in the NCL fleet.

Thanks for watching. I’ve changed my recipe. I don’t add nearly as much water. I’ve had the YETI shaker for a while now. I find myself using the Boston shaker more for the ease of use. The YETI shaker top requires some maintenance. It has two rubber gaskets that must be kept clean. However, the gaskets are easy to remove. I also find myself using the shaker on any YETI that it will fit.

@@fooddrinkchronicles Yeah, I hear people brag on the Boston for ease of use so much. Which is a little weird to me because I don't find the cobbler (a non-yeti cobbler) difficult to use really. But it's hard to ignore so many raves about it. It's funny I didn't even think about the gasket cleaning problem. When I've had drinks with that buddy of mine that has the yeti, I'm not there the next day for cleanup! I only observed the actual drink making. So interesting point.

If you wanna call the shots. Get some YETI shot glasses.

It was my least favorite drink. It’s odd. I didn’t drink all of it. The Barenjager lemonade from Germany was better. We’re thinking about drinking around the world again. The next challenge will be drinking beer around the world.

The cruise offers professional photos at a reasonable cost. I’ve had some professional photos taken on the cruise. They have talented photographers.

I need to use day drink in one of my videos. I’m day drinker.

It rained often, but I was glad we packed light rain jackets. The weather was chilly in the mornings and at night. I wore a hoodie and didn’t have any issues with the cold. I didn’t venture out to H2O at night very often. I mostly spent time at O’Sheehan’s and Maltings. I felt like the ship had plenty of nighttime events.

The ship is supposed to wait if it’s an NCL booked excursion. The time in Ketchikan was short for us. We saw the lumberjack show and then we had to get back to the ship. There is a shuttle, but we didn’t know if we could take it because the excursion line was in Ward Cove. The town looks really cool. I wish some of the port stops were longer. I got to spend time in one town out of three stops. I’m considering taking another cruise and do shorter excursions. Ward cove is a massive store. It’s great for people who like shopping for souvenirs. We did not stay in the Haven, so I don’t know if they have a Keurig. Our balcony state room didn’t have one. We paid for a drink package and had Starbucks every day. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. We cruised on 9 June. It was very crowded. We tried eating at the Local for lunch, but the crew members pushed us to the Manhattan Room. We didn’t wait too long at any of the dinning and bar locations on the ship. There’s plenty of places to go. However, the Garden Cafe is always jam packed when it’s open. It’s the busiest area. Port could be very crowded. My wife and I would wait an hour for the crowds to leave the ship. Transportation was great. The only issue I had was with the app. The app doesn’t show your itinerary or ship time when you leave the ship. Other than that, I felt like the NCL Encore did a great job.

@@brianupshur4329 the hat I’m wearing was a gift. It’s from One Fresh Hat. They have a large selection of hats online. Most of my hats come from Disney Springs and Barton Creek Mall in Austin, TX. I have a lot of fedoras.

The towns in Alaska have cool names. The breweries were great!

The Vibe Club is one hundred percent worth it, but only if you’re staying in an indoor cabin. I don’t think it’s necessary if you have a balcony. We got it because we were worried about having a good place to view everything on Glacier Bay day. Needless to say, the aft and all the outdoor areas were jam-packed. You will see this in my Glacier Bay video once it’s done. Some days were cold, but most days felt like it was seventy degrees. It does get colder because it’s the top deck. The most time I spent in the Vibe when visiting was about half an hour. On Glacier Bay day, I went back to my balcony room because the view was better. The ship goes in every direction to ensure that everyone sees the glaciers. Thanks for staying with me on this. The Vibe Club is not a club. It’s the quietest part of the ship with the fewest people. It has two hot tubs, one bar, patio seating, cabanas, beds to lounge on, and clean bathrooms. It’s a flex, but I enjoyed it.

The ship will wait for you as long as you book the excursion through the cruise line. I know there is a 4 hour and 8 hour route. I chose the 4 hour route because I didn’t want to be on a train for 8 hours. I’m glad I decided to do the shorter route because I got to visit the town. The port is a lot of fun to visit. We had more than enough time to see everything.

It has some beauty. The market is nice, but I wouldn’t go out at night.

That water was so much better than what they had before. Imagine drinking water out of a milk carton.

I was lifted by the lifts that lift me.

It was cool seeing blowholes and fins.

A lot of companies are losing staff at an alarming rate. I’m not an expert on the economy, but I’m sure the rising prices of goods has affected every business. It’s unfortunate and it’s difficult to watch people do more with less help. All we can do is support the company and hope for the best.

I liked it, too. I’m wondering what it will be like on a warmer cruise.

The Palihotel. I briefly talked about it in the video. The room was nice. We paid $300 before embarkation day and $200 when we disembarked back to Seattle. It’s across the street from the market and is a short walk to most places. The space needle is a bit far. I liked it. The Palihotel is an old hotel, but nice.
