Bonanza lift at Park City, Utah, 8 December 2024. They opened Bonanza on the Park City Mountain side. Nice, long blue run all the way down to the base area. Lift lines were short, but it sure looks like there were a whole lotta people enjoying the snow. Bad news is that we haven’t had any significant storms in a couple weeks, and nothing in the forecast. A couple dustings before the end of the ...

Lift #4 at Taos, New Mexico, 5 March 2023. Going super slow this day for high winds, which you can clearly see at the end of this video. In fact, the day previous, it was windy, but I skied the whole day. This day, winds were even stronger, and they ended up closing the entire mountain at about noon.

Nice. Riding my first chair of the season today in Aspen!
This is an experts only terrain lift xdxdxdxdxdxdxdxd
yep, nothing but double diamonds below this lift. And Big Sky is a little bit on their own difficulty scale, where everything is a step lower than it would be anywhere else. Meaning, a double diamond at Big Sky is like a triple diamond at any other resort. For this lift, the easiest way down is the run directly below the chair, so we get a really good view of that in this video. That's the way I made it down, very much inelegantly, but I made it.
no this IS a high speed triple
:):)
What a gorgeous ride up! These are so relaxing and beautiful to watch! I enjoy these a lot! Very nice quality and very nice camerawork! Thank you very much!
I rode my first lift of the season on the same day as you, but I was in California.
These cabins could use some fresh paint.
High mellow

Awesome! Thank you for the videos! I wish I was there!
That's so awesome! I love these ski lift videos! I really like the Tunnel, too. Also, towards the end of the Tunnel, I spy an M20 recoiless rifle! Cool! Thanks a lot for posting these! 🎿🌨❄
I love fog, too! It's like a phenomenon where I live (Tampa, Florida). I wish I could live out in the Midwest. We don't get much fog here in Florida, except in late autumn through early spring. Sometimes, we'll get over a dozen days of fog in a year, and other years, it only occurs once or twice, if, at all. It reminds me of snow, however it makes the surrounding environment beautiful and mysterious-in an interesting way. It usually starts very early in the morning, and then clears by about 10:00 hours-at the latest. Very rarely, fog will roll in at dusk, and I think it has only happened once where I live. Man, I miss skiing! Hopefully, I'll get to go skiing again someday . . . Anyways, thank you for these videos! I really enjoy these! They're quality videos, and they're well-made, too! I love the dense fog in this one! I hope you have tons of fun this season in 2024-2025! 🌨❄🎿
Every time my mind needs a reset I watch one of these.
Although it is a Dopplemyare Lift It’s Definitely Not A Direct Drive. Very Loud And Noisy At The Loading Point A Big Turn Off ☝️👎 No Magic Carpet Conveyor Loading System, 👎, No Protection of the Harsh Winter 🥶 Elements, Bumpy Slow Ride even though “They “ Consider It High Speed. Think Everyone Should Look At BIG SKY RESORT Who Is Certainly Setting The Stardard On What Is And Isn’t A Viable Ski Resort And Why Big Sky Resort Is The Leaders in Truly Having The Most Technology Advanced Chairlift Network In All Of North American.
That is insane. First time seeing something like this, the engineering is WILD
I've ridden the old Swifty in her new location a couple times! She is still alive as the Bucksaw Express at Sugarloaf.
This chair has some good vert. Fun chair to lap
Brings back memories of my childhood learning how to ski in the early 1980s when it was an old 2 person chair like Bannock
Beautiful! I love the golden sunset! Please keep these coming! Thank you so much!
😂this ski area lifts are so old and antique compared to the Biggest Skiing In America 🇺🇸 Big Sky Resort Which Features A Entire Fleet Of Brand New D-Line Products From Dopplemyare . The First Ever 8 Pack In North America Ramcharger 8. Look 👀 At How Slow And Loud It Is.
This lift was nearly identical to the lift I used to work at, which was built just one year after this one. I forget the terminal specification, but I think if I'm not mistaken they were Doppelmayr second-generation terminals. Very iconic design that has been phased out.
Big Sky seems reluctant to get Ironhorse replaced, which baffles me. It's a big chokepoint when trying to travel from Swift Current to Moonlight. Hopefully a new HSQ will be put in.
Two videos in one day?
@@TwinSkiingLiftsRides ah, what the hell? I noticed yesterday that I'd posted videos of Powderhorn at Solitude on back to back days. So I just switched the one that was going to go today with one scheduled for next week. I checked and double checked that the dates were all squared away in YT, and everything looked in order. But I guess YT had other ideas. No matter. Enjoy them both. Plenty to go around
@@ski-lift-channel I will. Anyway, RIP Wilbere 😞
Alta should allow snowboarders.
Na they shouldn’t.. and I snowboard too
I didn't know penguins could operate lifts.......
I wish the U.S had more Cabriolet's, they're really just a low-budget gondola with better views. Also, congrats on snagging the Epic pass! Looks like you'll be having a great winter in Park City / Deer Valley, new lifts for a lot of places in Utah this season.
Ah, no Deer Valley on Epic. So I'll be a regular at PC this season. That place is so gigantic, I won't ski the same run twice all year.
@@ski-lift-channel My bad! I keep forgetting that Deer Valley is not on Epic.
I used to love going to Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, and Keystone! Those were the "big 3" that we always went to. I've seen a lot of your videos, and I really like them! Do you plan on going to Breckenridge, which was my favorite? Or Keystone? They have a lot of lifts, especially Breckenridge! Breckenridge is big, too! I'd highly recommend it!
Breckenridge weekend is already booked for this season. I skied there maybe 20 years ago, and this will be my first time back since then. Super looking forward to it. I've never skied Keystone, but I might be able to work in some night skiing there on that same weekend.
That's awesome! I wish I could be there! It's my favorite mountain! Anyway, I hope you have an amazing time at Breck! Your chair lift videos are the best! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! 🎿👍
Almost time
This will be the one remaining fixed grip lift on the hill soon with Becker being upgraded to a high speed quad next season.
Way too slow
I can hear the wind. They are running it at 70% speed
Can't believe the top terminal sits right on top of the terminal of the former Lift 5
Looking forward to these mornings
With 7A, I think they should get a 3 leg return terminal from Sandia Peak. They have a Stadeli that was decommissioned in 2017. Its towers and return terminal are still up, as well as the drive terminal. The 3 leg terminal is super rare and only 1 still exists. Hopefully Taos can save it, and a few towers
And yes, this is Quiksilver The Fox’s second channel
That flyover on the downhill side is so iconic, and will be missed. Looking forward to the new 4-CLD improvement for next year!
All the lifties in Copper's back bowls do a great job, and Three Bears definitely got that slide technique down pat. I remember the last time I went, the liftie's at Blackjack had a speaker mounted on the the outside of the shack so that everyone in the que waiting to load Three Bears hears the Grateful Dead while waiting in line. It was so sick to hear Scarlet Begonias and other Dead tunes while riding uphill, it's one of the best vibes in Colorado.
I remember riding Bannock as a kid in the early 1980's. The liftee had to grab the chair with one hand and me with the other to scoop me into the fast moving chair that was kinda high off the ground. That guy was a pro. Lots of fond memories of Targhee
Decent lift, seen better conditions. 6/10.
ts took 10 minutes?? never new it was so slow
" 'Cause your name was Covid?" 🤣 That's a funny lady!😀 Thanks Anders, I love the vids.
So long subbe. The new lift should be up fast though
Is January a good time for snow at Taos? I can ski up to single black diamonds but I’ll probably try to push that. Some of my buddies coming along have never skied though
January in Taos? I’m no expert on Taos, but I’d think that every blue run on the mountain would be open by then, and probably some blacks or some off-piste or tree runs as well when you want to challenge yourself. But probably the steep stuff like in this video wouldn’t be open yet, but these are double blacks that you wouldn’t ski anyway.
Best lift at the resort, hands down.
I prefer Lenawee. th-cam.com/video/3PAdX8zHm4s/w-d-xo.html
Estimated speed is 870 fpm.
I love ski lifts but probably not as much as you do. This is a depressing video for sure. It gets really gnarly around 2:40. th-cam.com/video/n0MI3hA0uL4/w-d-xo.html
Why?
Well, I guess it is called “Ski Lift Channel”!
Kinda funny how this video was recorded at the start of last year, and yet it’s only now been posted
ha, not even that, but I still have videos from the 2021-22 season I have yet to post. And 22-23, and 23-24. They're all good, so I'll keep posting them.
@@ski-lift-channel wow, so you stockpile recordings? That’s actually smart!
@@MiFi-ln3vy I’ll ski probably 45 days per season, and ride anything from 12 to 25 lifts per day, and I’ll record all of them. On one hand, I don’t necessarily want to stockpile them. But, I don’t want to flood YT with a whole bunch of videos all at once, either. I used to post M-W-F. But at that rate, my stockpile was growing. I wasn’t getting rid of them fast enough. So now it’s one per weekday. If I keep up with that pace, I should be able to catch up with myself eventually so that I don’t have any stockpile left.
This lift will be replaced with a Doppelmayr uni-g high speed quad in the summer of 2026.
yep. thats what i saw too
Thanks for recording this! Another fast Poma detachable chairlift! Check out the trail called "Rambo." Now, it's up to you-if you do decide to ski down it. It's the steepest tree-cut run in North America-with a 55° pitch. ♦♦ _EX_
These Poma express chairlifts at Crested Butte are fast! Nice recording! Thanks!
Fast!
@0:48 Hey, how bout that?! Greetings from Wausau!
