I don't think the T14 tank actually exists, I've never seen one and I think it's more of a computer rendering.

You will never see this tank on a real battlefield.

A useful piece of kit in Northern Ireland, but far from invulnerable. RPG7 was effective against it (unless vehicle was carrying steel mesh) and 1000lb IED (eg 10 beer barrels packed with HME in a culvert) would reduce it to scrap metal and take out the crew. In South Armagh the British Army stopped using them (and any green vehicles) for that reason…all movement was by helicopter/on foot. It survived better in West Belfast where such large IED’s were less common (car bombs were about 300-500lb and larger lorry bombs were more often used against fixed installations). Wouldn’t mind owning one now though, road traffic accidents wouldn’t be any real concern would they.

This tank have many short comings. Biggest issue is it's main gun have too much recoil for it's size. Every time this tank fire it's main gun, the recoil would pushed the tank backward. The tank will need to re-adjust its position before firing the next round.

I remember during the troubles in Northern Ireland a large truck was going to go through a checkpoint. As it moved forward a Saracen came out from the checkpoint and pushed the truck back down the road although was trying hard to go forward.

The bushmaster is actually of a Irish design by a Irish company which were the lead on the project in Australia given in house support to the company involved in manufacturing the vehicle and providing the updates as required as the project progressed and the Irish retains its IP of the bushmaster vehicle. the vehicle had initially been designed for the Irish defence force back in the early 90s and the Australian company which was a joint venture with the Irish company in producing the bushmaster under license from the Irish company and still being produced under license, this was widly documented at the time.
