There's also the chain to investigate the various Oasis pools. Or did BC add that?
14:29 Funnily enough I actrually found her by complete accident while trying to sneak from Stonetalon to Ratchet on an alliance character.
Reeeee Cata Orgrimmar!
The Rambo quests got a little silly, but I did like how *organized* the Dark Horde was in its invasion of Redridge. And the followup in Cata Burning Steppes was good too. The main issue is they never really addressed that the Dark Horde and Dark Iron would be forced to get along when Deathwing and the Twilight demanded Ragnaros and Zombie Nef stop feuding.
9:24 I do wonder where exactly the main Stormwind army was supposed to have been sent. Onyxia wouldn't have disbanded them outright, because that would A, be suspiscious, and B, flood the heartland with seasoned veterans who'd potentially clean up the defians and fight her brother's Dark Horde. But they're not fighting the main horde or the Scourge in great numbers anywhere, they're not up in Arathi Highlands, or Southshore, or anywhere like that. So what "front lines" did she even send them to?
6:34 Fun fact that's an Alpha-era orc model.
13:26 Between Stitches, Myzrael, and a few other quests, the only people arguably more gullible than the Player Characters in early WoW are the Scarlet Crusade.
19:53 I would ahve said "curse energy from Karazhan, the scythe of Elune, and Morbent fel's necromancy:
10:01 In vanilla there were no Druids of the Pack or Satyr war. The Worgen were implied to have been brought from an entirely different planet that was also being invaded by the Legion at the same time as the War of the Ancients. The Pirestess thought the enemy of her enemy would be a friend in the fight against the Legion, but they turned out to be too dangerous.
19:19 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! btw, If im correct, Drewniak is recording his auditions also in english?
i remember it for the colors, open field and the rain.
i met my first wow-friends in westfall. i still remember them 20 years later. real life sucks lol
Wow, I never thought I would ever hear a Polish man speaking English with a Scottish accent
The world constantly trying to remove us and our history and yet forgetting that we are like cockroaches. We are the astronaut meme. It's al Poland? Always has been!
This was one of the better duskwood videos I seen.
Nah dude. Shadowlands had faults. But at least you weren’t bored. In wod there was literally nothing to do. Also the story of wod was dumb as hell. It made me lose interest in wow’s story completely. MoP was much better. SL story sucked but it all started sucking after wod imo. I feel like SL had amazing content in 9.0. I loved the zones and vibe of it. Nathria is one of the coolest raids they’ve made. And the dungeons were great too. So this idea that they set out to intentionally make a bad expansion doesn’t track at all. If anything, they clearly intended SL to be a massive improvement over BFA which was not well received. But the team was badly managed, had issues with development due to pandemic, and scandals rocked the company. Covenants were a cool idea but super flawed and I suspect they just were in too deep to simplify them at the time. People forget that before covenants we had artifact power, azurite armor, islands, and warfronts. These systems required a ton of effort to properly progress your character. So when SL hit, soulbinds and torghast was still a HUGE improvement. Extremely flawed. But manageable and much less tedium was necessary to just play the game. Anyway the mistakes from SL was a turning point that has benefited the future of the game as they have totally changed their approach to the games development.
We look fondly at sunken temple and black rock depths ? News to me..BRD isn’t bad but I never liked ST.
Sunken temple was really atmospheric and I loved the Dire trolls, Grell, dragons, worms etc. I jsut hated how easy it was to ge tlost.
It's a 3d chess board of layers and portals 😅😅😅
Azeroth is Flat.
No it isn't, we literally see it as a globe in-game.
Does anyone know where mancocks wife is? halp
more expansion to buy
un'goro crater has an active volcano in the center.
Also your right BlackRock mountain does not count, its that way because of Ragnarös's magic its not natural
Actually inns were the attempt of player housing before garrisons, covenants or class hauls. I look like a total 🤓
15:50 Hmmm... being a new player again of WoW. I guess I understand now why some Hordies are spitting at me when I arrived at Ratchet with some eager to make a scuffle by attacking me only for the Ratchet guards putting them down. Some might've been really scarred by constant Alliance raids back then - or perhaps even now, eventhough I myself don't participate in raiding horde territories.
"Most players are humans in real life." What does that even mean!?!?!? 😮
Hold up slime Tf u mean Skiff of elune? Ohh yeah you meant the spliff of elune yeah yeah
no wonder they ran out of food , they kill the boar and only eat the fucking liver
ehh kiedys to bylo
The most Iconic dungeon....really the MOST iconic? amazing absolutey iconic sure....MOST iconic no sorry gotta disagree
Dragonflight was imho worse than Shadowlands. Weird profession changes, the disturbing atmosphere and this disney like look.
The game is so woke now. Every male lead was character assassinated and replaced with a woman.
Actually in vanilla the only 1 level higher mobs in westfall compared to Elewyn were much harder to kill ,, since not obl were they higher they intrudused a fear of now you die , they not only like the Harvesters had restiances - they were like 2 levels higher , the coyotes ,birds - If the presious zone were hard this suddenly became harder with same as your level -This has now been changed by Blizzard and are no so much the case - they feel like only 1 level higer instead of 2 if they are 1 level higher
WE ARE SO BACK
Great video. Barrens Chat was the one!
"How it feels to be a dry beater in a world of lotion users" so deep😔
Don't know why it never occurred to me before watching this video, but WOW really did have great environmental story telling with its map. The way hills & valleys connected to each other with unique tree & housing models depending on what the story of the zone called for.
the biggest regret was paying 15$ a month for many years lmao
Great video. Better than your average wow youtuber
Yungpitlord wipes the floor with Dratnos and Maximus and Berular
Here in Brazil the word regret (arrependimento) can be used in sentences refering of something you haven't done as well, so I think its a nice choice of words there my friend
I really played a horde character at the right time. I'd play in windowed mode using thotbot & watching movies I'd rented from blockbuster (my job at the time so free rentals). I know I don't have time for Vanilla WOW anymore, but I am shocked that more games didn't learn from it's sense of adventuring & create similar coop games. Even 20 years later there is very few experiences quite like it.
Ayrshire??
Watched into the video, you said you're Polish. But honestly you sound like your from Ayrshire in Scotland lol
From Poland, live in Scotland (not Ayrshire)
@@yungpitlord accent is flourishing lad lol - im from Fife in Scotland
I can relate with your sentiments. Played classic when it released and enjoyed it so much, but was super daunted to get into retail because it’s just not the same as playing the content patches at release. Finally started retail with my partner about a week ago and boy has it been a challenge to try to play through the expansions and glean as much story and zone feel as we can while progressing. You have to be REALLY careful to not pick up quests that were released in future patches or expansions because it will assume you know things that haven’t happened to your characters timeline yet. I downloaded the recommended BTWQuests addon and it’s somewhat helpful, but not amazing. I think as you mentioned, the game would benefit a lot from revamping their new player experience. I think there are a few ways to fix it. First, I think it would be awesome if you could select a patch or expansion to view the world in. Only quests from that patch/expansion would be visible and only npc’s around during that time would be visible. Since me and my partner started playing and ran a few races/classes through their starting zones and were thusly onboarded into the current world, we’ve seen 3 different leaders of the horde. LOL. It can become hard to keep track of things to say the least. If that suggestion is unfeasible, then it would do much for a cohesive experience to be able to see which patch/expansion each quest in the world is from before you agree to accept. World of Warcraft has great lore but almost everyone suggests skipping early expansions and watching Nobbel instead. That doesnt give the experience many people hope for. I get why they suggest this, but I think the game is missing out on lots of customers who are more interested in methodical sensical story-telling leveling than playing the latest raid/dungeon content.
I, like a fool have played this thing they still call a game since day one 2004. It's a pale shallow imitation of what it was and it can never get it back. The whole levelling process is just a race to the end. There is no journey and nothing makes sense. You can't even play it through 1 to 60 like the old days because of the way the clowns that run the game have broken it all up. Yes you can play the meaningless version called vanilla or whatever they are calling it this week, but what's the point? You'll just be stuck in a limbo of pointlessness. The game needs to go away and be done. Just retire it, stop being to damn lazy and create something new. Flogging a dead horse to watch it slowly twitch on the floor is getting boring.
Yes
I should've been playing WoTLK in 2010 instead of being four fr
Girls with a time machine: 1967 omg hi grandma ❤ Boys with a time machine: 2008 omg sunwell plateau just dropped also I bought $13 worth of bitcoin
I started around 2005 until 2015 and started again at the end of last year. It's not the same game anymore but I still enjoy it.
Loved the video. I can definitely relate to you. However, fortunately, I am glad that I found out about the game through the private servers of WotLK, which were pretty huge at that time. You see, I am from a third-world country, and even if I wanted to, I would not be able play the relevant expansion, which was WoD at that time. To this day, I keep returning to my dead servers, and it hits really hard when there is almost nobody. But I am glad that I managed to experience everything the game had to offer long before.
I think shadowlands was better. Dragonflight is the worst for me. Hope the next DLC is better.
My brother made me a character in Wotlk, I believe a Tauren, and had me try WoW out for the first time. After running around for a few minutes I became really bored and most likely went back to play Assassin’s Creed or whatever I played on Xbox back then. I only grew interested when I saw the Cataclysm cinematic. Such a cool cinematic that gives me chills today. But sometimes I do have this feeling that you describe perfectly. I wish I did start before and did play during WoW’s “golden age.” However, I still cherish the times I had through out Cata, MoP, and beyond. Great video as always!
Fondly Remember you say? I could stomach doing a hoard character because of the unavoidable area.
