i have a question regarding icmp, i have configured a pc1 on inside of the ASA firewall and second pc2 on outside of the ASA firewal. inside security level 100 and outside security level 0. when i add acl from inside to outside and access-group ,i get replies from PC2 back. when i add acl from outside to inside and access-group,i get replies from pc 1 back. i have applied two access-groups for two ACLs,when i do show run access-group it shows me only one access-group command 1- access-group IN-OUT in interface outside 2- access-group OUT-IN in interface outside when i apply access-group IN-OUT in interface outside ,i can ping from inside to outside and when i apply access-group OUT-IN , IN-OUT access-group command is removed ,i can ping from outside to inside,it is replaced with IN-OUT hence i can see only one access-group command in show access-group output eigther IN-OUT or OUT-IN. in this scenario i cannot ping from PC1 to PC2 and PC2 to PC1 simultaneously.

This is so wrong, changing the lt 2000 to eq 2000 will not fix the problem, because HTTP is port 80 and port 80 is less than 2000 already.

This so wrong, the skinny ACL traffic is lt 2000, therefore HTTP 80 should be allowed and permitted.

but, even with the conn table hit the limit we saw that the FW was forwarding the SYNs... why it was doing that instead of dropping the packets since the connection number hit the limit?

Like I have many pairs (active/standby) and I want to retire some servers and for the same I want to pull out access-list's from ASA at all datacenters for that perticular retirement server. So why did changing the LT to EQ fix it is it because so only traffic from port 2000 is sent to Skinny engine thus allowing all other HTTP traffic?

Hi Thanks for video, but have one doubt , As earlier Skinny service group is configured less than 200 port (lt 2000) and you corrected to eq 2000... but our Service is only access over Http (80) port.. i believe earlier configuration is matching the access list right ?
