I guess someone accidentally triggered it (it can happen quite easily when you practice actually), then people tried to understand how it works and how to use it in some places. We have a tool now to trigger it and to still be able to see, so that can help with glitch hunting.

Basically by pressing pause at the right frame when we die/respawn we can trigger this void state that deloads some parts of the level (here the lasers). We use it already in several categories like No OoB (in Cave of bad dreams), all masks or all cages (in Rock & Lava) or for Treasure% Early CoBD (to enter Cave of bad dreams without meeting Clark).

I was watching a video from Darnok yesterday (The German Speedrunner) about Rayman 2 glitches and one thing I learnt from it is you can basically skip The Precipice door to Top of the World level by just going around... O.O Like, you just all the way to the left where the ramp is, and can climb up the wall, go around to the door cause' they forgot to put collision there, or something lol. Have speedrunners ever tried that in runs? If it can be used in runs, I guess it could be a potential time save. I'm guessing something must make it not as much of a viable option in runs, cause' I don't really see it used, but it sure looks cool!

I'm quite proud of this one indeed, just a few seconds of potential timesave but there is so many inconsistent things that can go slower

It's kind of a backup actually, I just throw the plum to the stairs and hopefully I can grab it and throw it right after without walking, but sometimes it goes too far so I have to improvise. So all in all I don't think it was optimal but still fast indeed

Ah mince je pensais que tu trollais x) C'est pour récolter tous les lums, si je fais pas la première mort je peux pas retourner faire le skip (c'est l'écran de gauche quoi), et si je fais pas le 2e le boss reste au début de la zone donc je suis coincé

Cages don't matter for 100%, the goal is to have a 100% savefile and only yellow lums count for it (1 lum = 0.1% so we need all 1000 lums)
