Broke But Blessed Farm
Canada
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 5 ส.ค. 2022
Hey guys! We are a 1st generation dairy goat farm located in southern Ontario, Canada. We have a milking herd roughly of 250 and about 200 kid stock of various ages. This channel is for anyone who would like to learn more about milking goats. Everything from in the barn to in the field, or for those who just love to watch silly goats play and have fun!
Tiling my own field - A big and exciting project finished!
This was a day that Eric had been looking forward to and planning for a long time! Even though it didn't go exactly to plan (like most of farming) it was still a very exciting and successful day.
We weren't able to film quite all of it and thankfully could run a few more lines a couple days afterwards, as the first day was slower than anticipated. Hopefully you guys really enjoyed the video and could see just how excited Eric was to do and share all of this.
Thank you so much for watching and please subscribe and comment if you liked the video and want to support the channel!

Hope you all enjoy the video and maybe learn a thing or two, join us in the next one where I try to put it all back together! See you in the next one, and God bless. “Music provided by...

I want to see the video you fixed the chimney
your videos are great to watch and also extremely educational. it would be nice if you could post a new video
Messenger? Fb? Kontakt?
Where does all your milk go? Very curious. I have been watching the channel for a long time!
Ok good, I’m not the only one that sits in the kid pen and enjoys it! 😅
Hey man, how do you tell which kids belong to which moms? When there all in a pen together and all kidding.
If you had it set at 220 that's set to high.Boiling temp is only 212
As soon as I heard you say the word, out, I knew you were Canadian! Cheers from Vancouver Island!
Looking at a goat farm whats the most u would say u could pay for a farm with 200 milkers and be able to make ends meet
Wow guys amazing the drone footage explaining thew hole process fantastic video maybe expensive now but a great investment for you operation cheers
Yes it was definitely a bit of an investment but we are glad to hear that it was worth it!
Going from a 6 foot bag to an 8 foot bag is about twice the silage area. Area equals pi r squared. So 6 squared or 36 to 8 squared or 64.
sorry my math... 3. Foot radius squared or 9 vs 4 ft radius or 16 but still almost twice the surface area has to be fed.
Hey brother awesome vids, y'all miss me yet 😂
Hi Erick enjoy your videos as usual but boy this farming an be complicated
Glad to hear you enjoy the videos! That is very true though it can be complicated.
Where in Canada are you located?
We are from southern Ontario!
Loving it. The videos are still very good. 😂😂😂❤❤❤ Let the Goats say some things about life on the farm. Cheese please. We all love Greek food. Feta cheese is very expensive and important. 😂 have your wife make a simple Greek meal. You will love it and so will we 😅
The thermocouple “temp probe” is definitely bad. It looks like the wires broke
Great you got feed for the winter months it didn’t all wash away in the big rain 🌧 storm ⛈.
Try making a mixture of 4 parts water to 1 part molasses. Mix it in the silage at feeding time and it should help hold the fines together and make it more palatable.
Very cool process, thank you for sharing some of the details and loved the drone footage too. Community and family working together and helping each other is where it is at! Love it. 💚🙏
thank you for watching! we love to see these awesome comments and feedback!
Hej jakie wymiary hali udojowej? Gdzie kupiłeś drabiny zatrzaskowe?
Hi, the head gates are from mar-weld, where we stand in the bottom of the parlour is 6x13 and i'm not exactly sure of the other measurements.
Hi Eric, I have really enjoyed the video’s you have posted. I have been researching dairy goat’s for awhile and would like to ask you some questions about it if you have some time.
Hi, thanks for reaching out, Eric would love to answer any of the questions you have as best as he can! you can reach us through email at brokebutblessed0@gmail.com Hope that helps!

Nice job on the design and build! Thanks for sharing and stay safe!🙏❤
Thank you!
Very cool thunderstorm footage! Thanks for sharing both your feeder build and the cheatsheet. Congratulations on hitting 1k! 💚
thank you!
Absolutely 💯
I noticed a couple of the goats were limping. How do you do hoof care?
We trim their hooves 1-2 times a year depending on how they are growing, we do have two videos that show how we do it and are maybe going to make another video this year if there is interest. The reason some of the goats are limping is not usually because of there hooves, they either have some sort of injury or are just getting older and are stiff when they get up.
Our hoof trimming videos are called, Goat hoof trimming - a much more efficient way and Goat hoof trimming - what why and when. let us know if you have more question or would like a new hoof care video!
Great video..thanks.....and wow a beautiful sunset.❤
Very interesting information!! Beautiful udders on those girls. Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!🙏❤
Thanks again😂
That is what some colostrum looks like.
How many acres do you farm to feed your animals and how many animals do you have?
It takes 40 acres of hay to feed our herd of 250 milking goats plus young stock.
Wow thanks!
Super🎉. Jakie wymiary stanowiska udojowego? Jak to wygląda na 1 goat
The goats get about a foot of width each in the parlour, that is what the company we bought the head gate off of specifies.
@@brokebutblessedfarm1516 jaką długość?
Are you pasteurizing milk for kids or are you a CAE and Johne's free
We pasteurize the colostrum not the regular milk, however we get our colostrum from cows and not our goats.
